Patching issues after Dec 1st update.

I have been having patching issues after the Dec 1st update, the first gig or so downloaded absolutely fine, no issue's whatsoever, but that's not the case with the rest of the 505Mb. The launcher is acting like it's trying to download the individual file, and not compressed file. For example: Downloaded 50.8Mb, Patched 50.7Mb. During this I endure periodical pauses in the download in which the download will literally stop minutes at a time and only will pick up for about 30 seconds, if that. If I let the process finish downloading after hours of waiting, the game will be stuck in an unending message saying the version #, if I try to exit the launcher or cancel the download, the download is wiped and nothing is saved.

But wait, there's more! The game's Dec 2nd update (the one released the day of posting this) download flawlessly without the before-mentioned issues, but the second those files were done downloading and it tried downloading that 505Mb remaining bit from the patch before, the issues pick up again.

Please do not suggest for me to reinstall the game as I can't with low download speeds and a very low data limit. I have used almost 3Gb of data trying to download a compressed file that should be 300Mb MAX. I am NOT happy.

    Yes me too. I'm not sure why, but if I patched Tribble first it went very quickly, and then the holodeck patch worked too. Maybe just (eventual) good luck?

    Sadly it seems im having the issue with all servers now.

    After many hours on pulling hair out, failed attempts, and no help from support, it finally started working again.

    At the rate my update is going I will be able to play sometime tomorrow.

    Just crashed and is starting over, GG Cryptic.

    How about giving us the option of downloading the patch outside of teh launcher and then just updating the client once it has all been downloaded.

    me too , even in save mode.

    2 x have the game instaaled new.
