Patch server down?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Trying to start STO today, and it keeps popping up with "trying to update launcher" and after 20 or so attempts it pops up with an error message telling me to check my internet connection... which is fine everything is working ok and there have been no changes to my system since I logged out just after midnight this morning.

Anyone else having issues logging in?

    I was in and logged out to go to Champions Online and got this error too. Went back to STO launcher and same thing.

    I think something is going on with the servers. I was just in trying to mail stuff to myself, got one mail out, and then it did nothing over and over. I looked around, usually when I'm about to get dc'd all the players and npc's stop moving, but that wasn't the case this time. Tried to relog and it just timed out over and over. Now the launcher won't load. So probably some unannounced maintenance or something.

    I just got the same problem, I'm guessing the server is down. Cause I'm posting this, which means I have an inet connection.

    Oh, and I was able to connect to Jade Dynasty, Blacklight Retribution and Elsword launchers, cause those were my Arc Quests. The only one I haven't been able to connect to is STO
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Same problem here, just reported on Twitter... I was trying to send mail in game and it was not working; logged out and when trying to log back in it failed saying could log into the Account Server and then when exited the game and tried to start the launcher got the above issue.

    Its down, strange is that on MMO server it says that website is down too....but here we are....

    there was a message last night on the start screen stating that the server would be down for scheduled maintenance today.

    I'm in game, but the Dilithium Exchange is disabled, so there's something unusual going on somewhere.

    Edit: Kicked from the server when I tried to change characters and now I can't launch the game.

    Even if it's down for maint, the game launcher should launch

    And it was an odd time to take down for maintenance. Normally it's top of the hour. This started 15 minutes til.

    Yeah I never saw anything about a maintenance. Nothing in-game for the hour or so I was on this morning, and nothing on the launcher.

    When they do maintenance you can launch the launcher but can't get into the game. You can even patch while maintenance is going on. Do it all the time. But the red light will be on server status in the launcher when it's maintenance.

    Oh, fer crying out loud. Likely they ARE moving, trying to fix things. We don't need them here soothing your ruffled feathers when their time is better spent fixing what's broken.

    Yeah, it's down. It started out with glitching graphics, no icons and certain graphics dissappeared. Loading screens took ages, so I logged out and can't get in.

    I guess I was ghosting or something.

    Neverwinter has the exact same problem. A buntch of us got kicked and can't get back in and the Astral Diamond Exchange (their version of Dil) is down too. Something's up and it's not regular maintenance I think.
    Btw, this is for PC, no idea how consoles are doing.

    I was hoping to log in (last 90 minutes of deal) and spend come zen on a few 25% discounted items before patch. Now I hope they can either get everything up and running soonish, or possibly extend it another day?

    There definitely was a maintenance message on the start screen on the ps4 version last night, plus maintenance days is usually either Tuesday or Thursday for STO.

    Apparently the maintenance was announced, but only on Facebook and the Arc launcher. Not in-game, not on the game launcher, and nothing on the forum lol.

    console and the pc game run on seperate servers so yes there is console mateinance today but that shouldn't effect the pc server

    @ambassadorkael#6946 I know it's very early over your side, but some information would be nice. Even if all you can say is "servers are indeed down, we're looking into it". Just so we know that you are aware and doing your best to fix it?
