Luckily, I had all my kits and modules unequipped before the patch came down (I had warning, after all), but it appears one of my main's kits, either a Romulan Embassy Kit or a Dyson Spire kit has turned into some black item that can't be moved, discarded, etc etc, that is taking up a spot in my inventory; and the other of the 2 kits has changed names, hence why I can't identify them.
(Some checking into the stats suggest it was probably the Romulan kit that "turned black", but I can't be sure.)
There might actually be a kit module missing too, but if one is missing, it evidently wasn't important enough to identify it.
So far map and instance changes haven't had any effect, either.
Haven't even dared check my alts, not that I use them anyway.

Oh, and here's something for all you guys thinking you can win Last Post Wins 3.0; trust me, I'll be around a long while after the sun has already consumed the Earth while I sit out with the forum servers on Titan. Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. By the way, if you're wondering, there's a really great Super Tails sprite sheet out there... somewhere... by some guy named shadow_91. These sprites are really great. Like, really good. Quality. Also, credit to Joe T.E., his Sonic Battle style Super Sonic sprites have a great palette for a Super Sonic being beat up by Super Shadow, who's palette is from a Super Shadow sheet of unknown origin, but it turns out they were "borrowed" from a better sheet made by a certain Domenico. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Oh, and anyone notice that Shadow's little chaos snap blast thingies are red and blue now? Yeah, I changed it. Problem, fans of purple? You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Just a FYI for some. If you have a blank kit frame on your character with white kit mod slots for the modules, do not right click and select upgrade. I accidentally did that and now I'm pretty sure the kit mods are gone for good.
I don't expect Cryptic to be able to fix this or be capable of getting my kit mods back but to make sure no one else does this.
Even after several relogs and space/ground switches the Crystalline Spike module is gone on both characters that had it..... allother odules on this chars are here.......
My kit modules are gone too, for all my characters (@NCC-89471). The frames are also gone for all but one of my characters. I'm seeing some other odd behavior with the kit frame and module slots as well:
1) The kit frame slot appears empty, but I'm not allowed to put another kit into the slot. Whenever I try, the attempt is ignored - the slot stays empty and the kit stays in my inventory (and does not become bound).
2) One of the modules I lost (on four of my six toons) was Crystalline Spike. I was able to get it back via the dilithium store Reclaim tab, but when I try to put it into one of the empty module slots I get a warning message: "You cannot equip more than 1 of that item". Apparently it thinks I still have it slotted.
I only have been on my main. She was on ground at Klingon Academy and got four modules in inventory. She has two Psionic Aura modules and is missing the Crystalline Spike Grenade. Do not know what the missing fifth kit module is. I have not tried changing maps yet since I got a duplicate module. I have submitted a ticket. I'm afraid to look at my other characters.
After reading thru some of the above posts I think the other missing module is the Subspace Rift. My kit seems ok and is in proper place.
Those Modules that can be reclaimed in the Dilithium Store were purposefully removed as they can be reclaimed.
These problems and loses were reported on Tribble numerous times. It was also recommended that they advertise this on Live as much as they could ahead of time. The revamp to allow upgrading did not require this drop of Modules out of Kits and no longer load into Kits.
