[PC] Game Breaking: Crashing fast. Is this causing a memory leak?

Here's what I got from the crash log. And it's happening many times:

161025 18:11:00 305 Client[0 P[6960746@15542753 Dave@dragonhef01]]: GSM_Quit(). Reason: emEditorMain or utilitiesLibShouldQuit()

So far, can't do Any STFs or even move around very long in a space social area. Ground social seems fine in the Jenolan Sphere.

    Well, I seem to be getting a little further than some, but not by much. can't even navigate DQ sector space. And when it crashes, it's the Black Screen of Death: meaning that I still have audio and the STO pointer, but no full screen. -d3d11enable 0 -d3d9ex not helping either. Way to Q&A Cryptic...

    same getting this a lot as well when changing zones, very frustrating indeed

    Likewise when changing zones. Loading screen freezes during count up to 100. Typing this while the "Loading Deep Space 9" splash screen remains stuck at 40.09.

    Task Manager to close. Then issues with logging back into the character I froze on. Joy.

    On the one hand it's damnably irritating. On the other I'm happy to find out the problem's not at my end!

    same prob here, black screen of death...also glad to find out its not on my end.

    Tried to reload game, it worked a little longer...even tried to run it on a maximixed window. Still getting the black screen. Looked at the "new" crash log and it's still that same line all three times it crashed. So, what is it that's broken?

    You guys still have more work to do: Black Screen of Death still happening with that code line showing in the crash log every time. I've gone through every bit of troubleshooting I can do. Get On It!

    Alright, it crashes even faster with this morning's patch: Good Job...

    wish they would at least put this issue in the known issues in the release patch. makes me wonder if it even will get fixed at all or just ignore it like the Delta Rising crashing issue.

    I'm curious how much Money they miss out on when so many people can't play?

    lol, i hear ya. so far since i started playing back in 2012/2013 i have easily dumped over $6,ooo into this game, and thats lowballing it. but meh, i left after Delta Rising due to the same thing for 5 months, i really like this game cuz im a trekkie but ill put my money into someone else pocket if this isnt resolved soon, thants not a whine or foot stamping statement its just a fact.
