Hi. I have been playing STO for about 3 years now, and I would like to make a suggestion.
I couldn't help but notice that the only ship of the 22nd century is the NX class, notably the Enterprise (NX-01) and Columbia (NX-02). I was thinking, since the Temporal Cold War included Captain Archer in the 22nd Century, why not include more ships from that period? I found on the website "Ex Astris Scientia", that the time period included 2 ships of similar design - the Warp Delta, and the Emmette. I think, iif yo could find a way to include these in the T5 or T6 options in the next major update, some of us who like 22nd Century ship designs would appreciate it. besides, why should there be only 1 ship of any given time period?

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing an Episode with Archer. Having him involved in the TCW would make sense, even if he wouldn't appreciate the inclusion.
Also, jslyn, I suggest you look again at the TV show "star trek: enterprise". Archer was already involved in the TCW from the beginning of the show.
Oh no we can't add the NX class because I need to make a stand on something for the sake of just making a pointless stand
Let him have his NX class, if you don't like it, don't fly it.
Paid for by the Down with Bajor party
Fleet leader Nova Elite
Fleet Leader House of Nova elite

with a little motorcycle companion
Despite being "canon" to the prime timeline, that ship would have to be Negotiated for since Cryptic only has rights to the first 2 movies.
Well, we find ourselves on the same team again
Which is why I said that it would make sense for him to be involved.
at the same time, I'd like to see Tucker be involved as a temporal agent, seeing as it might actually fit, we never see him leave, and assuming the 31st century has good bio-engineering and implants, I can forsee tucker getting his mind expanded, perhaps something tied to his injuries.
his ship of choice would be a heavily modified NX class (yes it's an NX class, not just a prototype afix) since it reminds him of home. I dunno, I always felt that he should have lived, and we should have gotten our romulan war....maybe this is our chance to see it in action, maybe he saves T'Pol durring one of the skirmishes on the federation boarder later after the war. there's a load of possibilities....time travel is involved.
Just remember when you fire that thing you're aiming it at a Klingon.
There's ZERO justification for a T6 Galaxy (60 year old design in STO) - or Defiant (50 year old design in STO) or Voyager (50 year old design in STO) either. But fans of those shows get their hero ship at T6 because it WAS a series 'hero ship'.
Get over the 'breaks immersion/continuity argument as that when out the window when they started letting Feds/KDF/Roms flying alien ships (and some enemy vessels at T6).
At least you 24th century era show fans didn't need to optain your 'hero ship' via a Lockbox; or worse; and Special Pack box that may or may not ever appear again.
The name of this MMO is 'Star Trek Online' - not TNG Online or DS9 Online or VOY Online, et al. IMO every Star trek series has it's fans and they should get access to their favorite 'hero ship' at T6.

That being said, I know there are some strange people who play the game who for some reason liked that travesty of a show and think the NX-01 was awesome, and wouldn't mind having a T6 version of it.
You know what? Let them. I have my Kelvin Timeline ships despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Real(tm) Star Trek fans, so I think turnabout is fair play.
Tucker didn't die he become a Wraith on Stargate Atlantis.
Soft-canon, so it's probably not part of the game's canon, has Trip's 'death' being a cover for him joining an intelligence operation (mixture of Starfleet Intel, S31 and Vulcan V'Shar, I think) after learning of the Vulcan/Romulan connection.
And technically, we have three Ent-era ships; United Earth NX, Vulcan D'kyr, Andorian Light Escort (T1, plus the three modern T5 successors). And that's not counting the Romulan T'Varo or the Lockbox/Lobi Xindi ships, which are also technically Ent-era or derivitives...
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
Hey, it seems some people like 'Star Trek: Voyager' too (including the lead content designer of this game) - but as someone who's been watching Star Trek first run since 1969 (at the age of 6) - "The 37's" was the LAST Voyager episode I watched because I just could no longer take the utterly garbage writing on that show...
So yeah, I can understand how you feel.
[Oh, as far as ENT - it's now my second favorite Star Trek series - TOS being #1 for me; and honestly it's first two seasons were better than TNG's or DS9's or what I sat thorough of VOY - it's third season ranks up there with the best seasons from DS9 or TNG - and it's 4th season overall was probably the BEST season of Star Trek produced since TOS Season 1-- but hey YMMV. ]
