Echo looks a little "daring" for a first try -- not something (imo) what a "space-newbie" civilization would start with. For the Lukari, I think the Foxtrot design looks simpler to realize.
Foxtrot looks easier to design, less imposing or threatening....taken in context for the species, I think Foxtrot is a much better choice between these two for a recently-warp-capable, peaceful race.

Echo reminds me of a Son'a ship crossed with a Romulan delta wing. Even if we get an X-Files Triangle UFO or Flight of the Navigator ship, I'd like to see something "original" in the game as opposed to something we've sorta seen before.
Not really sold on either of these designs, so I picked what I thought was "the lesser of two evils". Trek and STO already have a lot of "flying wing" style designs -- in part or in whole -- so, I'm staying with the choice which feels farther away from that.
I have to be honest; I'm not liking this round. Both these designs could easily belong to any number of other Trek races. They lack identity or individuality.
That said, I'm voting Echo, because I think it's the prettier of the two.
Foxtrot! All three days, I've voted for the more traditional UFO-looking option provided... This one, in particular, reminds me of Flight of the Navigator. Echo, as others have noted, looks like a Son'a ship flying backwards.
I choose #TEAMECHO because I thought the design mixed things up bit from the previous designs they highlighted. Yet I also agree with many the other ship seemed to represent a more scientific vessel something we should expect from a race like the Lukari in their focus more similar to the Vulcans.

I'm sorry but I am more in favor of the unique design which is Alpha. I am tired of the round/oval saucer designs not only because Fed already has a huge amount of them, but also because this is supposed to be an alien ship after all.
I predict it will be 1st Charlie, 2nd Alpha, and 3rd Echo, but I really hope I am wrong with the order of 1st and 2nd.
This was a tough choice for me unlike the others. I really do not like any of the designs but I chose the Echo, the Foxtrot just looks like a squished UFO. I liked the previous UFO design and not the one we are voting on or not voting for now. Thanks.

I voted for Echo because I initially liked the design more, but now I'm regretting that choice.
In retrospect, I think I agree with kelettes:
