Are you still working on these escort turn rates? I see slight improvement but I'd say it is 20% of what it was before. I have 6,500 to turn rate and yet I maneuvering nearly exactly the same as a cruiser with 1,000 turn rate.
Am I whining? Am I entitled? Or did you just royally TRIBBLE up the gameplay and mechanics on a whim of removing inertia.
Hope you have additional tweaking planned for Thursday update because that is the day I stop paying and playing if you havent.
The new Steamrunner bundle comes out with an upgraded Steamrunner Escort at T5, and I'm still just sitting here waiting for a T5 or up NX Class Escort.
Nice - although a little confused as to why it's T5 - any T5-U option?.
Still, pleased to see it isn't yet another cruiser
You upgrade it like any other T5 C-store ship; you use an upgrade token.
That said, a T6 variant wouldn't be a bad idea in the near future.
And as for the comment made by @chitowngrizz420 about its console, the Resonance Cascade Modulator reduces damage to shields by 20% team-wide and completely removes shield bleedthrough damage. Both of these effects last 12 seconds. They nicknamed this the Team Fortress buff in its tooltip.
not all T-5 ships have an upgrade option. kind of pisses me off.
I previously bought the SteamRunner bundle from steam last year, but the new bundle shows that i have to buy it again? I can reclaim each individual ship through ship requisitions, but shouldn't it show that I already own the bundle since the OLD steam bundle is in principle "Bigger" (it contains BOFFS, and a mini-starter pack) along with both of the steam ships.
It is like if you buy the all faction pilot ship pack bundle, it shows you already own each of the three seprate faction packs for the pilot ships.
I put in a thread over at the bugs Zen store area, FYI
I must warn you, I am quite Isane! I am Grand Duchess of the Abh Empire: Beneej Letopanyu Spoor!
The bug would be if we can actually buy this bundle as we already have everything it contains from the Legacy Steam Bundle so it should just show as available, or preferably not show at all like the other packs when you have some or all of the pack contents already.
Silly honest question, why is it so popular? All these rave reviews i dont understand. I look at the stats and dont see anything so special. In comparison to the Patrol Escort for example it has a few thousand more hull points and .05 more shield capacity, not a significant advantage over it.

Well, the game is easy enough that your choice of Escort ultimately doesn't matter. The only exception is the Pilot Escorts, and only because of the advantage that Pilot Maneuvers have. Even then, every Escort plays pretty much the same. Things like additional hull HP and shield modifiers aren't bad, but they hardly determine the popularity of an Escort.
It probably has more to do with the fact it's a canon ship, and has a following of its own because of its unique design, which easily set it apart from other ships. The Steamrunner appeared in a few other Star Trek games, so I'm sure there's some nostalgia there as well.
It's a piece of the Star Trek films and TV shows put in the player's hands. That alone makes something popular way before we get into stats.
Interesting, ive seen all those episodes several times over and it just doesnt ring a bell. Must have been a series of one or two second shots as background actors.
In game you can't just it by its stats.
Its a very flexible ship that outfitted properly is among the fastest and most agile ships in the game. At full impulse, I can still chase down enemy fighters. And it can deliver punishing amounts of damage as well

How would it compare to the t5 Defiant without the cloak?
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

You sure?, when i had them in inventory they were both btc. Also about the lvl 50 part, aren't they for tier's 1, and 5?
The ship you claim (on a given character) from the C-store, will obviously be bound to the character in question. However. C-store ship purchases will make the ship available for all applicable characters on an account (for instance, KDF chars obviously can't claim this Steamrunner).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

For me, the Defiant was a terrible ship. I could not get her to work right no matter what build I tried. She actually made me avoid escorts for awhile.

Thanks for the few fun hours though.

open to all... probably unless you own the previous steam version.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
~gently pushes Crashy aside~ No problem, more for me!
Even more so since I think it's cute. ~huggles the cute little steamrunner~
~grabs tigeraries and does the Perfect Strangers dance of joy~
You made this girl's day. ^_^
Personally, I love mine.
It's my go to end game ship.

The first appearance. It also made some appearances in DS9 during the Dominion War.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
