bad turn rate is related to engine's.

so I just discovered that the turn rate problem is related to the impulse engines. mine are plus 1 but they should be plus 32.

just posting this so everyone knows.

I've noticed as well that it works correctly when your doing the event. and at Dyson sphere.

but it seems wonky in normal systems.

OK it seems random. tested it a bit more. they effected my battle cruiser. sometimes they work. but often they dont

    Does it depend on the type of Engines? My Bird of Prey on XB1 has the Jemhadar engines and I haven't had a problem so far.

    dunno. I've tryed two different ones. and both seem effected.

    but it seems random. flying in Dyson sphere. the numbers where the turn rate is was going crazy. jumping up and down.

    Sooo..... Is there a place where my escort is an escort or is it ramdomly escort/crusier

    Doesn't matter where my ship is. It still turns like it is a giant battleship and is almost impossible to get it to face moving targets during combat. The swarmers in the Dyson sphere... the only thing that saves me with those is my Omni-directional beam array and a newly installed rear beam array. Otherwise, forget it.

    And the other ships in the Dyson sphere always spawn on my rear flanks so I have to run away, turn around to face them and come back slowly and hope I destroy them before they pass me. It's nuts.

    At least my warbird can burst very hard. I can usually burst dont a few ships in one pass, cloak, reposition and repeat. But with proper turn rate i wouldnt have to cloak...

    Engine bonus to turn rate is just that, a bonus to base ship turn rate. Those numbers seem to fluctuate, same as weapon damage, as to whether your area has adjusted the "level you are fighting at" for that given situation. I am about 95% certain of this. I flipped out the first time I noticed my 404 damage per second weapon dropped to less than 200 damage per second, and then I noticed I was 10 levels down from normal

    yes but they shouldn't be 1. or 0.56.

    why open so much threads w same prob 1 is enough...

    i testet everything every set, new claimed ship, traits on\off one by one... the stats r goin crazy up n down but no effect...
    in every battle map its like u r in fluicid space... i think there is the source of the problem. in sector space all normal. but any other map its bugged.. no fix till yet. but i know one :smiley: get ur new 3k cruiser and fun, and arc will smile too.

    So..your "True" Turn rate is going to be displayed outside when your in your ship Parked outside Earth Space Dock, New Romulus or (KDF) Chronos and in any LVL 60 Space Battlezone.

    Do NOT check your gear stats for SPACE when your on the GROUND. They are much lower because none of your skills/points/other factors are added in when your on the ground.

    Dyson Space battle zone (and some others) are Capped at LVL 50 and also requires you buy "Atmospheric Flight Training" (Spire) to help reduce the Atmospheric Friction found in the Dyson Sphere’s Space (which is lowering your turn and stuff)...

    Also Pilot specialization added to your resting Speed and turn rate stats when active.

    The problem, Odin, isn't in reading the turn-rate stats, but in the actual turn-rate in practice. My destroyer handles, currently, like a cruiser; others are complaining their raiders/escorts are handling likewise, if not worse. And it's been that way since Thursday's patch...

    Aye. I don't mind bugs--I only mind the lack of communication about said bugs. It's a huge, new game on the console, so bugs are expected; just hoping for expedient fixes.

    I don't know about console bugs, but if there's something wrong with your engines, a good place to start would be specifying exactly what engines they are and exactly what ship they're installed on.

    Everything- i have a t6 valient and a t6 faeht both affected by this turn rate bug. In last weeks patch notes it made mention of them removing the "intertia" info on char sheet. I have a feeling them removing that/ inadvertently affected our turn rate?? Who knows im no scientist.

    Because a roll-back could potentially be as messy as a new patch.

    nope and there are no patch notes for today for the console version of the game so it's looking bad for a fix
