Caitian environment suits

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
On behalf of Caitians galaxy-wide, I would like to file a formal complaint and follow-up petition with Starfleet Engineering over the total lack of Caitian environment suits. The suits available make no allowance for our tails, and this is a real pain...you can guess where. As a planet with full membership and in good standing with the Federation, we, the Caitian officers of Starfleet do hereby petition Starfleet Research and Development Labs to make available to us environmental suits that are anatomically correct for our species.

    Tails can be wrapped around bodies.

    JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

    Curse it!

    We Ferasans are disgusted that we are forced to agree with our inferior progenitor race on this issue. We support this petition, and respectfully urge the High Council to adopt a similar policy towards pressure suits issued to Ferasan members of the Klingon Defense Force. We ask this not for comfort, but for the tools for which to fight more effectively. Our tails provide us balance and stability. They make us better warriors.

    Are we not valued citizens? Do we not fight with honor, and bleed and die for the glory of the Empire?

    I wish they'd just add an option to wear an environmental suit without having to remove your armour. Basically, allow us to use the visuals even when we don't have a suit equipped.

    Those who use them can worry about small things like tails after that more general issue has been adressed.

    I dont understand the problem. Environmental suits are equipable on all species.

    If not then i suggest you file a support ticket because it sounds like a bug.

    Targshave little curly piggy tails that might be difficult to enclose. Caitians have more cat like tails that can lie flat.

    And there's always the Mannx option.

    My gorn would like to point out the pain suffered by Ferasan and Caitian is nothing compared to trying to fit a long muzzle full of teeth into a flat faced EVA suit

    And aren't Gorn supposed to have tails that aren't as flexible as Caitian tails?

    They're talking about visuals, specifically the lack of a tail extension on the suit for the kitty people.

    Wrapping my tail around me is quite uncomfortable. I agree, EV Suits need tail slots.

    Lets think in real life terms here. EV suits needs to cover you 100% from the vacuum and harsh temperatures from space. Same reason astronaut suits have gloves, dont you think it would be easier to work without gloves. Exposure to space is bad.

    Id say covering your appendages is intented in an EV suit.

    There, clarity brought amd problem solved.

    Catians can get a massive carrier, but not a tail slot for an ev-suit. Priorities seem to be in order. :lol:

    Off topic note: I kind of miss that carrier. I wish it can get a bit of t6 treatment along with the vulcan science vessel, but those are not very popular ships. :frowning:
