Winter event ship: Ambassador class (Enterprise-C)

It would be nice if we can get the T6 Ambassador class for winter event. In fact, it should be the reward for the STO anniversary or ST 50th. I love the ambassador ship from the previous STO anniversary.

    The Guardian is a great ship, and you can get it now with no wait or grinding.

    Not a bad ship, better lookin than the galaxy for sure, but can't say I really want it or that it'd fit for the winter event.

    The Winter Event ship has traditionally been one not associated with any player factions. Mostly... they've been Breen ships since winter and cold go with Breen.

    If they were to make a faction specific ship, they'd have to make KDF and Romulan variants as well. While it would be easier for the Klingons since we do have the Kamarag, the Romulans have no equivelent.

    Yes I want a T6 Ambassador so much. Same with Sovvy. All Enterprises. Universe class as well. its not that insanely huge. It matches my Tholian Terantula.

    I doubt they will ever release a T6 Support Cruiser (Ambassador). The Guardian has a similar look and bridge officer layout and is probably its "replacement" unfortunately.

    Which is a big mistake IMO. Q should be giving ships that go against the laws of physics not boring Breen ships. So a Snowconian ship would be appropriate for the Winter Event not another boring Breen ship.

    They're more likely to release a T6 ambassador for the 30th anniversary of TNG next year with a rerun of the Temporal Ambassador mission where new players also get the T3 version which was only available that one time when the mission was first released.

    I'd also enjoy seeing a T^ Ambassador Class. Hell they could keep the Boff seating and just make one of the Seats a Sci/Temporal Specialty Boff seat Combo, etc.

    But as Al Rivera HATES the Ambassador Class (as players requested it, he'd come back with - we have too many Cruisers already, and I'll never understand why players like/want the ship..." - of course HIS favorite ship the Excelsior Class got a quick but really lacklustre T6 version, but still); who knows when (or if) they'll ultimately make a T6 version.

    Btw, I want a t6 that looks like the retrofit ambassador class. I only love the Connie (Enterprise-A,) the Ambassador (Enterprise C,) Intrepid class and the Defiance. The galaxy and sovereign class aint bad either.

    I seriously doubt that we will get a Tier 6 Ambassador. A Tier 6 ship that has its own unique look, but can use the Ambassador skin is a definite possibility since that seems to be how Cryptic creates Tier 6 ships of canon ships that are already in the game.

    Nuh-uh. Sarr Theln and Rezreth were rebuilt completely, they don't even look the same as they did before. I'm pretty sure the other two got freshed up.

    It's not really equivalent in terms of how it's obtained (the T5 version anyway) but the ship is from a similar era apparently.

    This will be an Event Ship. There won't be a faction specific reward. As @rattler2 showed. This will be a more "generic" ship. Like the Vorgon from the Summer Event. With the continuation of AoY coming on the 25th. I'd have to say that the event ship will be based around that. So likely another Vorgon, Nah'kul, or perhaps a Tholian design. It could even be the ship that you run in to at teh start of Future Proof. The Tax Uthat one. I can't remember the name of it right off.

    Considering that the blogs have stories about the Lukari and ship building and that there has been a blog on the German and French sites where the Gorn Ambassador provides the Lukari with an old Gorn ship it is likely that the Winter ship is a Lukari Design based on a Gorn ship. Something like a T6 varanus.

    It baffles me that this blog has not been released on the English sites yet. With a basic Knowledge of German and/or google translate it should be easy enough to read.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Or the Fleet version with Energy Credits (for fleet modules off the exchange) and Fleet Credits. :wink:

    This will explain why I haven't seen any mention of a Ship from the current event haha!

    Thought the Crystalline cataclysm event was the winter event for some reason...

    @questerius i don't think that it's going to be a T6 varanus, or any faction specific ship for that matter anyway. Although I'd love to see it happening, since I really like the ship, but don't want to invest into a fleet version T5(u) at this point anymore, with the hope of a possible release of said ship (T6) in the near future...

    Uh KDF and Romulans being able to obtain a Federation based ship for the Winter Event? Yeah, I don't think so.

    Not anymore than the Fed would be able to obtain a KDF or Romulan based ship.

    It will be a "neutral" faction ship not based on the 3 available "factions" in game.

    Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.

    It won't be a T6 Varanus, but a Lukari design based upon an old Gorn Design (possibly a Varanus).
    Therefor it is quite possible that it looks like a Varanus, but is cross faction.

    Pondering what ship we will get for the winter 2016 event. If memory serves, no more breen ships. Tbh, aniversary event ship should be faction related... just like the old time. Since the Romulan faction was added, Cryptic has become lazy. They give us generic ships.

    It's STO anniversary, so the ship should be special ^-^.
