I know people have brought this up to me before, but I'm actually in a place where I can look into these things right now. So. . . If you know a place where, when you go back to Sector Space, you end up inside the collision of a Star, or other wonkiness like this, please tell me what Star is the issue below.
Note that this is not a general sector space thread for "I don't like how dark it is," or "why isn't X planet in SS?" This is specifically about a particular issue that I can probably fix.
Thanks.

Nukara, New Romulus, Trill and Defera.
When I returned to the sector map I was trapped inside the star.
I visited my bridge, and that seemed to fix the problem for me.
Know I have stuck in a few stars in the Delta Quadrant aswell.

How are you getting stuck in Trill if there are no missions there?
There where other places where I was trapped but can't really remember where and how (appart that it was usually at the end of some mission, warping out of system).
It's a Foundry mission door.
The primary conditions necessary for it to happen seem to be that the "door" to exit to the Orbit Instance allows the ship to be "too close" to the star (or starlike object) such that a ship can be pressed right up against the star when accessing the "door" to shift zones. That location when switching zones then gets recorded (I'm presuming), but without enough specificity/resolution to prevent returning to Sector Space "too close" to the starlike object, thereby making it possible to zone in INSIDE the star (or Klingon Fleet Starbase geometry), which is "impermeable" from the inside, so you can't just fly out of it.
Simplest solution I can think of to globally fix this issue for ALL objects in Sector Space would be to increase the size of the "zone of exclusion" around all stars and objects which would prevent Player ships from approaching them quite so closely. I say this because the issue only occurs when switching zones while "too close" to the geometry of "solid" objects in Sector Space.

Conversely, the "white out" rumble effect happens over too WIDE a radius around the planetary body in the Crystaline Catastrophe instances, such that it feels like the radius of the atmosphere is DOUBLE the radius of the rocky planetary body.
I mention these things on the off chance that there might be a bit of reusable code involved for collision detection which you might want to have a look at in relation to the problem with getting locked inside of stars (and starbase geometry) in sector space.

Foundry mission?
I had the same issue in the Orias System after a Foundry mission. It didn't happen all the time though

Check out my Foundry missions:
Standalone - The Great Escape - The Galaxy's Fair - Purity I: Of Denial - Return to Oblivion
Untitled Series - Duritanium Man - The Improbable Bulk - Commander Rihan
As a workaround, you can also visit your starship bridge, or swap ships with your shuttle to get unstuck.
It could be fluke but I spend aprox 90% of my time in command crusiers yet almost every single time I get stuck in suns is within the 10% of playtime when I am in a sci ship mostly Intrepids.
