Ferengi Ship, and Lifetime subscriber

tigreanponytigreanpony Member Posts: 11 Arc User
I was trying to do this through customer support but for some odd reason I can never get to the customer support page, so I will write it here for all to see. I have been a lifetime subscriber since the game first came out back while it was being ran by Cryptic. and I never received the free tier 6 galaxy class ship and now I didn't even get the new Ferengi ship that was a gift to people who gave continuing "support" to Star Trek Online. Here is the the image of the then email I got from a colleague, http://i.imgur.com/9lavfhx.jpg. If this is suppose to be a gift to "supporters" of the game then why have I not received, as a matter of fact I know many Lifetime subscribers that didn't get this ship. To me that seems like poor business practice being we have paid to support the game for its lifetime. On top of that I have bought almost all of the C-store ships available as well as the romulan pack, delta pack, and the temporal pack. SO why is it that I have spent so much money and am not considered a "Supporter" of the game. On top of that I have spent $1000 + dollars getting keys for lock boxes and 300 of that was trying to get the Annorax which I failed at. So how is it that I got skipped over for the tier 6 galaxy as well as this Ferengi ship that is a thank you for continuing to support the game?

I feel that this is bad business practice and half tempted to report this to the BBB. I can tell one thing because of this action by you guys my wallet will remain closed because of this. Why should I continue spend the money when people who have spent less gain more benefits? Please tell me how this makes sense? Honestly you really need to look at the lifetime subscribers before just willy nilly gift a ship that is basically as effective as a C-store ship for free to random people when you have the true supporters that are skipped, who have given the money so the game can continue to evolve and become better. I for one am very upset about this and I hope you guys will change your business practices or I may just stop supporting the game and delete it from my computer entirely.

Your talking about the nagus ship. It was sent to a selected group, the criteria of that selection is not to be revealed, and discussion of this subject ie threads for it have been closed. Look in General Discussion first few pages should turn up several threads on it.

Let's see...you paid for a lifetime sub 6 years ago. You have spent $1000 dollars on this game over 6 years...umm...yeah...I don't think you know what the term big spender means. There are people who spend that PER YEAR. I'm sorry, I know it sounds like a lot of money...and it is to people like you and me...but in the grand scheme of this F2P model, we are chump change. Really, you aren't supporting the game at the rate you pay out...you are paying for yourself and only yourself. Me, I spend less then you...so I am a leech that those who do spend that in a year pay for...so to those who do spend those silly amounts and pay for my share too...thank you very much.

You do realize that its 1000+ dollars after I bought all the 128 dollar packs that came out for each of the expansions, if that is not a enough to be consider a supporter, then you sir are quite delusional.

So what the apparent Troll...I mean coldnaplam is trying to say is that "No you're not a supporter unless you spend stupid amounts of cash in excess of 5 grand a month" So no you haven't supported the game at all. So no your payment of 200 dollars when the game first was released was not showing any kind of 'support' for the game. Why? Because obviously Naplam knew the game was going to last this long after going from pay per month, to free to play. So obvious you must have known it too, because it was SO obvious! There was obviously no risk at all of the game closing the doors once the subscription service stopped (like so many other games in the past) I mean my god tigreanpony, do you really think that just because you've bought everything they have ever offered, plus given them money in risky gamble of a lifetime membership, you are showing support for a game?

Ofcourse you are, napalm needs to shut their pie hole.

Unfortunately, you are not in this boat alone.
    Seriously...was a huge flame fest.

PWE isn't explaining themselves on the topic of the Nagus ship.

So, no matter how much energy players spent on complaining on the forums, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook in chat or in e-mail....as far as PWE cares, it is OVER.

The PWE marketing department, or who ever makes decisions on this free gift via e-mail stuff, have made several big gaffes lately as far as: from the players point of view. But, nothing can be done to change what has already happened.

And this is old, at this point.
