Unless I have an Xbox or PS4. I really want the new Keldon and Dominion Dreadnought, mostly because they look awesome. I'm willing to buy a truckload of zen to get them if their lockboxes are released for the PC version tomorrow. I hear tell that Cryptic expect me to buy a console if I want it badly enough, or take my paltry zen money and go home. Could a Cryptic representative please give an official response to this? I think we'd all appreciate it.

Patience is what's required here.

33 minutes into the podcast. As of right now, this is the best you're going to get. I wouldn't worry about it.
If they do release these lock boxes on PC just to keep your business, please remember: DO NOT OPEN LOCK BOXES JUST TO TRY TO GET A SHIP!
If you just want a ship, sell keys for EC then buy the ship with EC. This offers 100% success for typically much less than even a 50% chance to get a ship by gambling on lock boxes.
Oh man, it's called "baiting" for a reason.
What he's really saying is that the exchange will be universal across PC and console. What you can sell on exchange in the PC client will be buyable on the exchange using the console client, and vice-versa.
I like how you assume I'm too dumb to know zen is best exchanged for EC to get the special ships. That kinda makes you the dumb one, doesn't it?
There is the free Tier 1 Steamrunner and Andorian Light Escort for all console users in the first couple of weeks. Time will tell if the Andorian Light Escort will be made available to the others that didn't spend $200 in another Cryptic game or log into the Playstation 4 version.
Ugh, I am so done with you.
Shop Smart, shop S-Mart!
On the PC side we're still in the middle of a lockbox cycle and have a promo running. They won't cut that short.
A little bit later, Oh Console isn't doing as well as we thought better put this lockbox on the PC version to cover our costs $$$.
Knowing how some people will jump into this game, buy a bunch of xp boosts and take the day off work, I can easily see some people achieving level 45 within a day or two - as slightly sad as that is...
And the travesty that is PvP will only become really apparent once people have full access to all the power creep. Which will take a few weeks.
Very easy to achieve within a day. And I'd like to see these ships released on PC. I just think a lock box on release of a game where everyone is starting at scratch and can't use until a third of the way through levelling is a little to early. Maybe release it after a fortnight of play and see what the player population is 1st.
But then I'm not Cryptic's marketing or promotions team (Who should be fired on the spot regarding the Ferengi ship email promotion. Yes I got the ship and am thankful for that, but to also clearly state in the email I also will get the Enterprise J Goodies and a signed copy of the game but NOT INCLUDE ANYWHERE EXCLUSION TERMS in the email or their own website well that's a discussion for a different thread ?)

Yeah, there wasn't any mention of this in past events with ships, either. That doesn't rule out the possibility of them being exclusive, however.
Just because PWE/C doesn't include a disclosure clause at release doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be available at some point to everyone else.
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.
Then will probably be temoral and xindi.
Then they'll probably drop Delta Recruit.
Then they'll drop the Iconian War.
Then they'll drop Future Proof.
Then they'll drop Agents of Yesterday.
They won't drop all the game at once for console. Each patch will have to be redone. First they need something to work with. This goes back to the original pre-rep era where it ended at the Borg/Breen. Then from here, they'll(hopefully) fumigate the bugs and work to release it bit by bit until console is caught up with PC.
The main problem here will be PvP. This is big in the console gamers. If they haven't sorted and balanced this, well I'll need to go buy more popcorn when i start reading the forums.
To quote D'Angelo Barksdale from The Wire: "Money be green yo!"
Edit: and I'm sure someone from cryptic would of said don't worry its PC as well by now if it was true
