Never ending patcher

Well, this bug is now affecting both desktops and the laptop.

The current patch is 600 odd Mb, well I have currently downloaded 12.4Gb, as confirmed by my isp for todays useage, yet it still hasn't finished the 600Mb patch for STO. It just goes on and on and on, like a neverending storyyyyyyyyy.... aarrrggg gggghhhh !

I tried to get it to patch on my wifes computer, same thing, and on my laptop. Nothing seems capable of patching sto.

Starcitizen, Elite Dangerous, Guildwars 2, Overwatch, every other title on my steam and steamVR account... no problem.

Just STO.

Any suggestions?

2x SSD's 1 for OS 1 for games, including STO. currently 100Gb free on the game drive.

I have the same issue (via the Arc client).

The current patch I'm downloading is sitting at at a hefty received 16.53GB 24% (patched 209.0MB/868MB). I keep the client up-to-date with all patches, yet each patch takes anywhere between 3-13hrs to work its magic.

In fact, I can only recall 3-4 times in the past few months where a patch downloaded the amount stated on the launcher (usually around 600MB-800MB) before being able to launch.

Any ideas what's happening?

I had the same issue. I had a never-ending patch, but I was able to resolve it. Whenever I noticed that the received data was going up and the patched data remained static, I hit cancel patch, and then tried again. Eventually, it worked.

I presume the issue is that the patch servers are overloaded, but I am no expert.

I suggest you keep an eye on the data received versus data patched, from now on.

Tip which I just tried..Dont select any proxy for the patcher..I set mine to none and I patched 800mb in like 10 mins..
