Delta had the advantage that you could create a new Romulan or KDF character.
Temporal has the bigger advantage that it was released at the same time as the TOS mini-faction so your new character got 6 great TOS episodes, sound effects, visuals for the UI, beam out, etc.
The Temporal characters have more annoying things to get completion like the Doffing, admiralty, and specialization. Overall thought I had more fun with the AOY character... go figure.
Delta had the fact you could be "anything" going for it....Temporal/AoY was more limited in only being Fed as well as only being one of the 4 "starter" species from ToS. Delta was a "shorter" run to complete, Temporal/AoY takes longer, but yields more (although some of the "rewards" were for Marks after the Delta happened).
Oh for a 3rd option of I liked them both and then an explanation of why, lols.
All in all I enjoyed both - but for me the Temporal/AoY just edged out the Delta. The only complaint (again this is my thoughts/feelings) is that it would be nice to see them stop focusing 90% on Federation every time. I get that more folks seem to play Feds, I feel like it's because the vast majority of "hte good stuff" is FOR the Feds. I really wish they'd "integrate" a bit more and allow for all players to join together in a single Fleet. This would help those floundering KDF Fleets who can't get anywhere on their Bases. Just my 2 EC.
While the Temporal had the benefit of the 23c stuff, which I loved, I don't like fedrats much so Delta wins for me because I can make KDF/Romulan alts for those.
Now if they had actually made 23c "at least as much of a faction as Romulans" or allowed us some crappy 6 mission KDF/RSE arc for the Temporal Recruitment that would be different.
I voted Temporal but only for the reason that there was more to it than Delta. The good thing about Delta, was you could make a KDF and/or Rom.
Yes, the Temporal Event is not faction restrictive like Delta was with regards to having to play Fed, KDF, and Rom to unlock everything, but I really did not want to make another Fed character... even though I did enjoy the AoY tutorial arc.
This go-round, thankfully, we didn't have the old Cardassian Arc to slog through, but the Delta Arc more than made up for it.
It is my hope that the next recruitment event allows you to create a KDF and/or Rom instead of essentially forcing more Fed characters to be made in order to participate.

Delta, because it was easier and faster to finish the requirements, and you can be any faction and any species.
However, i think the rewards for AoY are slightly better, because that acct wide unlock for ultra rare mk 13 rep gear is pretty great. I just wish some of the requirements werent so long and hard, as a casual player finishing the whole thing will take a long time.
Mine is Temporal, simply because they did it just a hair nicer than Delta.
Everything for Delta Recruits was "ICONIANS DID IT!!!!" Temporal was different in that they're only monitoring for the most part. Very little "NAKHUL DID IT!!!" moments compared to Delta.

1) I already have an overabundance of characters that are getting increasingly less attention from me.
2) There's more stuff to get, none of which you can get equivalents for anywhere else. (Superior specialization traits, improved reputation gear projects, and more XP from Admiralty? Either of the latter two would singlehandedly make it worth it, and I'm getting both of them today!)
3) It came with a well-made extended tutorial, yay.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
1. I was not required to reroll the toon for every faction (+ mistakes) to get all the account rewards.
2. Account rewards are better.
3. No, really, better account rewards.
I vote delta only because people were more into it because it was a novelty.

The Unlocks for Temporal are so much better. I looked at the Delta device the other day on one of my Delta Characters, not much there. Temporal had a new character type (sort of). Though you could create KDF and Romulan Deltas (and I did create two of the first one of the second and a Fed). Other than the early story Arcs there was no real difference or anything new and fascinating for the unlocks between them.

Well, to be fair, Delta didn't have Admiralty simply because it wasn't implemented yet.
With that being said, I'd love to see a "retro Delta event." No progress bar rewards, but rather just getting the Delta Recruit item. The rewards from the item are decent enough to warrant making a new Delta. Basically, it's a "log in during this week and we'll let you make a Delta Recruit" kind of event.

I have to say that the Delta Recruit was much better than the Temporal Recruit for one simple reason: it was easier to find the recruit nodes. Those Nakhul nodes were just too difficult to find at times. I had to redo missions just to find them. Plus, the Temporal Recruit seemed way too long; whereas the Delta recruit was nice and short. The rewards were good for both, but I feel the Delta Recruit was much more doable than the Temporal, especially since Temporal was released during the Summer Event.
I am really not set up to play Fed. My Temporal Recruit is just languishing at level 60, now. Just filling rep TRIBBLE not doing anything real...even stopped DOFFing (my fav part of the game).

Not really sure either was, might have been better for cryptic to make different servers for each captains era, except Janeway and Sisko(them being in Picards era and all).
Neither, they're both boring grinds through the same old content that we've been through multiple times already. AoY was a massive disappointment in itself since we were promised a full 1-50 faction but got a handful of missions instead and an area we can't even go back to.
I liked the 23rd century arc.
But Delta seemed inclusive for other factions, and actually made me want to generate more than one faction character. So, I choose Delta, despite the fact I loved the classic Star Trek feel of the new Temporal story arc.
The rewards for Temporal where and are way better. Granted the doffing will take a long time (for me at least) to finish. But Delta wins out simply because I could play any faction during.. It got me to finally make and play a Klingon through, and I made my first real Fed character during it as well as 2 additional Romulans.
would of been nice if Cryptic took the few moments it would of taken to allow KDF and Rom to become Temporal Recruits even if through a lame pop up at level 10.

If you really thought that for even an instant, then you are quite unfamiliar with the history and behavior of the game. The faction-independent stories cut off by level 30, and the TOS faction is comparable gameplay-wise to the Romulans, who also join a 'greater' faction around level 10. The only difference is that the TOS faction doesn't get its own story arcs after level 10, but instead hooks into the Federation story, making the 23rd century a sort of extended tutorial.

However the Delta quadrant arc is still a ridiculous slog.

They just get less sober.

I wouldn't mind a chance at a Delta replay... hint, hint...
