AoY was great, and I hope they decide to add more TOS episodes to make it even greaterer
They've been doing a nice job of making little quality of life changes like adding the cooldowns list to the PVE queue.
The space gear visuals slots added a feature players had been asking for for years. The devs said doing the same for weapons would be much harder, but (with giant kitty eyes) pwetty pwease?

Agreed, the visuals are one other great addition. And I would love to get some blue omni-directional phaser beams for my Kumari for example.
Thank you for adding the Kelvin Timeline ships. The D4x Bird-of-Prey is a thing of beauty, and was a major part in my enjoyment of the KDF faction within the last few weeks. The T'Laru finally saw the Romulan Republic getting a full-fledged carrier warbird, the addition of an end-game Connie was an addition that many of us have requested, and the Vengeance similarly was often-requested by those who were not particularly fond of the Avenger or Arbiter.
The MACO outfit was a major request by a very determined individual of the STO community, to the point the constant "bumps" to the thread never even annoyed me, and almost made me wish they never added it, for fear that the thread itself would become irrelevant after so many years of a struggle to remain fresh in the minds of the developers and STO forums.
The Kelvin Timeline uniforms for all 3 factions similarly was well-received. While some thought the "blingons" from Into Darkness went against the "purity" of Star Trek (whatever that means), myself and many others thought this new take on Klingon aesthetics was a positive move forward in a franchise that JJ Abrams resurrected from the dead after the poison pill shoved down its throat by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga's fatigue in Enterprise and Nemesis. The Kelvin Timeline Klingon Regalia (and prompt correction of the cranial ridge piercings bug) in addition to the D4x Bird-of-Prey helped me fall in love with the KDF all over again, and was a nice testament to Cryptic's continuing hard work and effort into supporting the Romulan Republic and KDF factions.
The Boolean Assault Cannon is also something I am thankful for. I've not had this much fun with a ground weapon since the addition of the Plasmatic Biomatter Ejection Rifle, and being able to use John Harrison's weapon has really augmented (pun unintended) my enjoyment factor of STO.
I personally desired Nero's uniform ever since game launch, and had hoped it would make an appearance with LoR, but our patience paid off and I'm happy to finally have access to this outfit. It was a nice surprise to have the option to remove the coat and have that sleek undershirt instead.
While there will always be room for improvement, I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to Cryptic Studios for making AoY an unlikely candidate of an expansion for me to enjoy, as the addition of Kelvin Timeline content grossly overshadowed the other parts of the expansion I've been more or less neutral over.
Yeah, thanks Cryptic for putting all the new TOS stuff in the game...
Oh and thanks for the new single toon dilithium costume unlocks...
I might actually get to use and enjoy them in a year or two.

Sounds like a complete utter twat ... oh ... uh ... no comment. Also you mean the thread about the Typhoon Class right?

Hey thanks for all the new stuff that only Fed characters get to enjoy and participate in...
Oh and we're all anticipating the KDF-only content Season that's incoming soon.
It's not you- it's me. I just need my space.
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.
WHAAAT! We got the TWOK captains vest and mission jackets!!??? Okay so I got mine tonight, and now we just need late 23rd century ship interiors, and TWOK Phaser pistols and ships phasers! :P I have been pushing for this since game launch!
I have been highly critical of quite a few Things. But I also want to Point out the Things that actually improved the game:
. Boff skill Training Change (yeha, one Boff with many skills!!!)
. turning crafting/upgrading into something useful
. Fleet Dilithium vouchers
. new ground kits and modules (though not yet upgradeable...)
. daily mark Bonus and Reputation Projects - along with Sponsoring other toons
. making even ships account unlock (yeah - had to grind for each toon before that...)
. ship loadouts (even if it was just to Counter the tray bug)
not so great or just shameful:
. replay the same Mission 3 times (x18 for each of my toons) to get a full set rather than doing what they did with Breen and Jem Haddar sets
. efficent Leveling after lvl 60 doesn't involve playing but admirality Thing ONLY - PvEs give 2-4k xp, 5 admirlity missions proabbly about 15-60k
. fleet economy - not enough fleet marks to donate to Projects and fleet is always short on Dilithium (turn fleet marks into fleet Dil vouchers?)
. Breech Event (takes FAR too Long!!!)
. unrealistic Event Goals (temporal Event: Doff Goal not even Tier 1 achieved, R&D T3 Goal achieved on Day 1 or 2)
. ridiculous pricing (10k XP boost for 1000 Zen? 1,7M Dil for one character bound uniform? )
18 characters
KDF: 2 tacs, 2 engs, 3 scis
KDF Roms: 3 tacs, 1 eng, 1 scis
FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
TOS: 1 tac
all on T5 rep (up to temporal)
all have mastered Intel tree (and some more specs Points)
highest DPS: 60.982
AoY is lotsa fun, captures the mood of ToS, and is over too soon. Needs 2 - 3 more episodes and it's own social hub.
Agree completely
I rerolled and am now taking my time, chilling at starbase between missions, and doing each mission a couple of times before going to Caleb IV. Captain Chekov's parting comment at the end of Babel summed up the AoY experience nicely, and indeed turned out to be prophetic. Also, I liked all the sto tutorials but think AoY Taurus II is the best one.
Thanks for the T'laru carrier, so much fun & joy 4 elite drones, some science magic and a couple of beams + a torp for giggles, poor NPCs are melting left and right.

Ah, the little things.
BTW, if anyone wants to make their own lensflare(aka Kelvin Timeline) tribble, just search the exchange for "slusho"... my ec balance will thank you.
