Not going to help anything by bringing this up again....
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.
Apples and Oranges.
The posted legalities don't apply here.
So many sour grapes...
Have you met the STO playerbase?
trolling?
1. she posted that pic
2. she wanted people to see it.
3. she posted taunting "u mad?' hashtags
it's not like she is being doxxed. she wanted to rub it in peoples faces.
Hanging around with snoggymack22 would certainly be a guarantee for fun.

... except possibly in the Kelvan Timeline.
We'll never see the end of these threads. They really need to rename the "Flag" button to "Waaambulance".

Exactly. This was a GIVEAWAY to certain individuals NOT a contest, puzzle, gamble or any form of competitive activity. What ever Cryptic's selection policy was for the GIVEAWAY, it was their own choice. There are no laws governing the 'fairness' of giveaways and there is no basis in law for arguing otherwise. This I would know as I studied Business Law!!
Also OP, you might want to read the ToS. Cryptic can do as it pleases with regards to it's own property and it does not have to notify anyone, other than PWI & CBS. When it notifies it's customers, it does it out of courtesy. It's not a 'right' nor is it a privilege for you to know about anything Cryptic does!
I don't want to point any fingers but yeah...it becomes pretty obvious
No it doesn't need to be looked into....jeez. Their product, their choice of 'requirements' for the giveaway, of which no-one but them has a say!
Personally, I'd end up with a nice admiralty-asset and another ship-trait. Nice to have, but certainly not necessary.
Exactly, nice to have, not entitled to have.
> I'd personally rather have some hardcore-Ferengi-fans getting it. As far as "deserving" goes, anybody who was still sticking to a T5U-D'Kora for the last years would be totally deserving one. Without latinum-skin (that one should have gone the way it did, random selection of people who spent x amount of Money, if that was actually the true criteria).

well this is what cryptic had to say and thay did not even post on the sto forms
Update: A representative for PWE issued the following statement to Massively OP in regard to these ships: “The gold-plated T6 Ferengi ship was sent out to a select group of players as part of an e-mail specific promotion. Unfortunately we aren’t able to reveal any additional information, as it goes against our policy to protect the privacy of our community members.”

Well said
I wouldn't think it took them more than 20 minutes to cook up as basically it's a kit-bash of the D'Kora. To be honest, I'd be drooling if they opened up the kit-bashing more so you could have more versatility in ship design and there for more 'unique' ships!
That's why it's a "limited" item has has value as such. Giving it out in the Lobi store, etc. would only decrease the value.
As a matter of disclosure, I didn't receive the ship, and I don't really care for it either. If they do a giveaway, they're fully within their rights to do so, it's their game to do what they see fit with it. (even if armchair lawyers disagree)
Court of Law vs Court of Public Opinion.
