23c character's Security Escort beaming in with 25c Races, Uniforms, weapons

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
As the title says -- when my TOS Tac captain uses his Security Escort III captain power, I get 25th c security complete with 25th c gear and uniforms. Is there an ETA on this getting fixed and can it be added to the known issues? I know it's cosmetic, but it was reported all throughout the tribble test phase (by me no less), and at least an acknowledgement of the issue would be nice. @pwlaughingtrendy @borticuscryptic @crypticspartan#0627

Please enable us to buy a token with Zen to faction change a 25th Century FED to a TOS FED.

    This is not a bug. Only abilities you gain access to below level 10 got a TOS FX treatment.

    Yet another contradiction to TOS being it's own "faction": factions have their own unique security escorts.

    Why would you have 23rd century Security?

    Well we have 23rd century bridge officers and Daniels did say he rescued as many of our crew as possible so I'd assume some of those crew were likely to be security officers. :tongue:    ​​

    I took this to mean he saved you and your boffs as a way of justifying bringing your boffs over from the 23c.

    Yeah...you can't really use this excuse when we still whip out a TOS communicator/tricorder, use the beam up effect, use the scanning effect, use the boff abilities and kit modules, have an interface that plays the clicks, beeps, and boops...

    If they truly wanted to erase our 23rd Century identity, we shouldn't have any of these things after joining the 25th, either. Thankfully, they didn't go that route. I just wish the Security Team ability was another one that got TOS-styling. I don't particularly care if it doesn't make story sense, none of the other stuff I just listed does, either.

    First, I would like to thank @borticuscryptic for coming into this thread and explaining the reasoning behind this issue. It's not the answer I would have liked to hear, but at least it's an answer. However, as others have said in here, the reasoning doesn't really pass muster. I have 23c Phasers, ships and uniforms My crew wears them, so my security should be wearing them as well. I'm not going to rant and rave about this, but I will ask that you please reconsider this choice. If the TOS faction "is as much a faction as the Romulans", then, like the Romulan faction that have romulan security regardless of the alliance they make, the TOS faction should have TOS reshirts with TOS phasers.

    @borticuscryptic many thanks for the response, again this is a disappointing response, as you can imagine a lot of TOS fans were hoping for more "immersion" to be available for 23rd Century characters...
