Hypothetical Kelvin Ships discussion.

Ahkay, first off this is mainly just some banter thrown about for what-if's, pie-in-sky thoughts, and so on...

but, IF we ever see any futher kelvin timeline ships, folks wouldn't mind seeing?

Me? Full Refit Connie (ala ST: The Movie), Excelsior, & Miranda. Just to see their take on 'em..

I'm sure jowls would shake in indignation over the thought of it, but this is purely hypothetical fluff, and not actually anything that shouldn't hopefully horrify the masses who shudder at the thought of more Kelvin stuff.

I would LOVE to get ahold of the Klingon "Warbird". If it were T-6 and had a better Boff layout than the Fleet T-5U K't'inga, I'd shell out some money to buy it.

there's about a few dozen different canon things with "star trek" slapped on it.. denial of its existence doesn't change the fact it does. Everything has its proverbial warts, Kelvin Timeline is no different, it's there, deal with it..

Like you folks have to acknowledge that "Threshold" was a thing back in voyager's run. :expressionless:
Abrams isn't in charge now, Simon Peeg is and he actually gives a **** about Star Trek and science fiction in general. Whatever comes next in the movie series, it's in a hell of a lot better hands now.

regardless, i know with some folk around here it's a rather moot point. Then again, i'm only really talking about the craft, not the movies they're from..

I'm more interested in seeing what Kelvin Romulan uniforms look like. All they showed us so far are the miners outfits from the Narada which isn't even really from the Kelvin timeline.

Given the scaling; it'll be probably more like the Unimatrix ships, have a cloud 82 2 AU in diameter around it....

Only on paper. In the actual film it'd by the same size as the prime version.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

It would be interesting to see the current TOS line of ships that we got in Agents of Yesterday released with Kelvin Timeline costumes.

Wait... so it's canon, that Fed Captains are running around in Tholian, Voth, and Breen vessels?

I'm sorry, but players flying KT vessels is more canon than my first statement...

What is a pure Trek fan from your perspective? I've grown up watching Star Trek, and I had watched everything from TOS to Enterprise by the time I was in my teens. Does the fact that I like the Kelvin Timeline somehow not make me a pure Trek fan from your perspective? I'm legitimately curious as to what others perceive is a pure Trek fan, given that Someone simply watching a part of the Star Trek franchise, and enjoying it enough to talk about it has always been enough to classify as a Star Trek fan in my books. I find this concept of "purity" rather baffling personally.

The less I see of that timeline the better. I'd sooner this game focus on continuing the TNG universe, not the reboot action movies.

    on topic my guesses are:

    fed - kelvin
    kdf - d-7/"warbird"
rom - the mining ship the narada started as or a t'liss.
bonus fed - the jellyfish as a shuttle.
winter event - maybe the bad guy ship from the new movie. not likely though.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

Probably people who hate the new stuff. Which is the sort of attitude that slowly kills franchises.

It doesn't kill franchises... it just marginalizes them until we have purple-dragon CLOWNS running around desperately hoping anyone still listens to them.

Only a week until the TV series reveal at Comic Con. :)

There were a whole bunch of Starfleet ships in the first movie that we only caught glimpses of, before Nero blew them up. And there's things like the shuttlecraft from "Into Darkness"... might be worth thinking about.

I like that Age03 chose another thread to make a completely moronic statement we can comment on.
    So here's my comment.

And I assume those "pure" Trek fans are those that agree with you 100% on everything, otherwise they are no Trekkers at all.
Dude, you are so full of yourself I lack words to express it. If I wanted to show somebody a textbook example of an ignorant person, I'd show him your comments and tell them: "don't be like Age03, be a better person"

    No arguments here.
