New addition to the AoY Pack

Looks like they added 0718 as a Bridge officer and some kind of space suit from... I dunno.

    More stuff for the pack is nice.

    I'd love to have the Kelvin uniforms and a couple more neat TOSy boffs. Maybe a mobster?

    Agree, they really need to add more to the pack, I am tempted to buy it, but I still want more before I spend over 100 euro on it.

    The suit is from TOS: The Tholian Web, which is a sequel to the AoY mission where it's featured.

    This 0718 Boff is really, really tempting. Cryptic, you magnificent bast... I read your book. I still hope he can be gotten separately.

    I've bought the pack and love the ships (and the EV suit) too much to want a refund. 0718 can stay in the c-store though (I already have an android BOFF).

    One question though. Is the EV suit a costume or a piece of equipment?

    Kinda upset, the spacesuit should have been reserved for the 500 day veteran reward spacesuit when the make the TOS faction revision to the veteran rewards. IF the TOS faction is "as much of a faction as the Romulan faction" then they will need to make new factin additions to the veteran rewards, just like they did for the romulans.

    It's the EV suit from the original 1960's series. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Environmental_suit?file=EV_Space_Suit_2268.jpg I highly doubt Cryptic would put something in the game without permission, especially something from a TV series that isn't going to be released until next year.

    One thing to note that people seem to have missed: the EV suit in the pack is referred to as a costume. It's might just be an outfit that you can customize and not an actual EV suit you can wear. (Or perhaps you get both a costume and an equippable suit?) Don't know. Cryptic is being, well, cryptic about it. I doubt the EV suit is ground armor though, considering they no longer sell EV suits in the c-store (they made the fed and KDF suits into veteran rewards instead a long time ago).

    The Starter Pack is a bit more tempting with 0718 added in, but it's not really a game-changer for me... it was already a comparatively good price for a T6 ship. Still, I find the "faction agnostic" ships much more interesting, given that buying those gets me something for all my characters while the Pack gets me something for a third of them at best; while it sucks that we aren't seeing anything specifically for our KDF/Rom captains yet, the ability to use the 31st Century ships on any character does offer some unique advantages over prior offerings (it basically works out as trading faction-specific skins for a 50% discount on what could have been an equivalent Cross-Faction Temporal MMSV 3-Pack, which I totally would have picked up).

    I'd pay 50 bucks if they kept the boff and just let me have the uniform ... that's in addition to the mega pack I already purchased ...

    I like it, but I have to admit, I really want some way of getting a T1 Andorian Escort so my TOS Andorian Science Officer can fly her native ship :).

    AFAIK, there is a way to get the T1 Andorian Light Escort, but it requires purchasing the $200 Hero of the North pack for Neverwinter. Making it one of the rarest ships in STO.

    Ummm... why would a STO ship be in a Neverwinter pack?

    That's how it was released, to encourage existing customers to try Neverwinter.

    Actually, it was intended for Neverwinter players to try other Arc games. There was a ton of Neverwinter ingame items in the pack and the PWE Games Gift Bundle which included the Andorian Light Escort as STO's contribution. Most of the games included items that were currently available through other means so not many people would have purchased the Neverwinter pack to get some items that only took some effort to get ingame or purchasing it with Zen in that game. Very few items were exclusive to the Heroes of the North Pack.

    now i wont buy it for sure. to me having 0718 in it has tained the overall product as far as i am concerned. good to know anyway.

    Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
