Cant believe im saying this... But ARK seems to be better...

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
So I reinstalled recently due to some odd crashes and bugs through Steam. I decided to try out ARK again to see if the problems follow. So far game is running better and looking better than through steam.. Interesting. Guess they have refined the program some more.

    I still run through Steam and have had no problems myself. Just the odd computer freeze that is apparently a thing in some instances of Windows 7, but that's unrelated to STO. Hopefully I solved that problem.

    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

    Steam (and I think ARC as well) are just launcher platforms which have a shortcut to the startrekonline.exe and thus will launch the classic launcher regardless. So neither should have a noticeable effect on the game. Maybe you just use different settings?
