I would love to see something like a trait for a raider/escort that is based around buffing more of a hit and run tactic style, such as below.
Trait: Hit and run synergy
Description: This trait causes your rear weapon hits/firing to stack a buff that improves your weapon output damage (either all weapons or only forward) so long as either your rear weapons are the only weapons firing on a target or you have no target's in your forward weapon arc. This could be nice as a way of making more of a hit an run or strafing combat style useful an interesting, while improving the viability of that style.I could see this going as gaining 1-2% damage per second or two you have only your rear weapons hitting or firing on a target, and then once your foreward weapons are firing the buff will begin to decay till your rear weapons are once more the only weapon hitting a target or you have no targets in your foreward weapon arc.
That's an interesting idea, actually.
Some variations
Hit and Run Tactics
When you take damage to your rear shields, the cooldown from Cannon Rapid Fire, Beam Overload, Reserves to Weapons and High Yield Torpedo power, Cloak(s) and Mask Energy Signature is reduced by 1 second. This can occur only once per second.
Strafing Tactics
When activating Cannon Rapid Fire, Beam Overload, Reserves to Weapons or High Yield Torpedo power, the next target you hit in the next 15 seconds gains the "Strafing Target" debuff which lowers its damage by 50 % for the next 20 seconds. When that target hits your rear shields while under this debuff, you gain the "Follow up Strike" buff which increases the recharge rate of Cannon Rapid Fire, Beam Overload, Reserves to Weapons and High Yield Torpedo by 50 % for the next 15 seconds.
Second Pass
When you hit an enemy with a rear mounted weapon, you gain the Second Pass Preparation buff, and the target gains the Second Pass Target debuff. Both last for 30 seconds. If you hit a target with this debuff with a front arc mounted weapon, its debuff and your preparation buff are removed. While the target has the Second Pass Target debuff, its recharge rate is lowered by 50 %. While you have the Second Pass Preperation buff, Cannon Rapid Fire, Beam Overload, Reroute Reserves to Weapons and High Yield Torpedo recharge 50 % faster.

Sadly I can't as I already voted for K't'inga in fact I'm the President of something or other so my vote counts for double, NO Triple, NO Quadruple, in fact I'm the Mayor of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England my vote can override 90% of other votes added together apparently so K't'inga wins by a landslide, yay

Each sounds kinda interesting, and honestly if the version I had put forth was made into say more of a tactical styled ability and then these were each a trait on different ships, than it might be ever more interesting. Or if these were part of a new escort/bop/warbird class/ship using the "Hit and run" aspect I suggested as the main component, while than having these three versions as a sort of abilities you can gain/use after a certain period of time had passed almost like the inspire mechanic in a way. Maybe that while you are hitting your primary target or no target with your main-foreward weapons or having them in their firing arc you would gain preparation stacks you can spend on the three variations you mentioned.
Sadly, this is my universal reveiw for all Trek movies since VI and all shows since DS9, wlthough to varying degrees.

Raider Sneak Attack
If a target is damaged within the first ten seconds of decloaking, the attacking raider has double the chance of his weapons' proc firing. Thus, phasers typically proc a subsystem offline 2.5% of the time, but have a 5% chance during the first ten seconds after a raider decloaks. This would apply to any proc that offers a chance to accomplish something, such as the disruptor's damage resistance debuff or the tetryon's shield damage bonus. It would not apply to effects which are simply additional damage modifiers such as the antiproton increase to critical hits. (I could argue either case for Chroniton Torpedoes!) This ability would enhance Subsystem Targeting Attacks as well.
Devastating Damage
When a raider, while gaining the Raider Flanking Bonus, inflicts 25% or more of a ship's hit points in damage with a single attack, the target ship gains a random Injury. (Player ships are immune to this effect.)
I know there is a T6 BoP, but I'd still like to see a treatment of the Hegh'ta at T6, perhaps as a specialist ship. There are currently no Commando or Strategist ships, and the Hegh'ta would be perfect as a Commando ship.

Which can be found here. I put them together last year, with the help of others KDF players. mindful to actually take more than Klingon race in to account and allow the other races to have a chance to add to the fleet.
With AOY on the way, I sincerely doubt we'll see new Klingon ships anytime soon.
Yeah, going so far as creating a second FED faction to shill "moar FED" and ignore KDF/ROM is the groin kick to end all groin kicks. Writing's on the wall.
There's already an abundance of Klingon ships. T6 Scourge, please. It's probably the best looking ship in the game, and my Nausicaan pirate needs an updated one. While we're at it, a Nausicaan bridge would be nice. I don't even care if it's just a single room like the lockbox ships have, as long as I don't have to use Klingon bridges.
I would not mind seeing a orion, and/or gorn ship. Honestly I kinda would not mind seeing a ship that mixes aesthetics of several of the races in the KDf, either that has several part that have parts that are specific in style to one of the race of the kdf, but while there could also be three or four designs that mix characteristic of each in the parts. That would be interesting to see what a ship that combines all thee groups looks as they merge into less of three races an more of a single confederation.
I'm not a game designer but I love mocking up dream ships at every reasonable chance so if I were to design dream ships for the KDF allied races that haven't gotten a T6 yet...

After the events of the Iconian War, the Orions saw a need for greater organization in their military. Working together with Klingon engineers and strategists, they worked to create the first true Orion military starship, intended to serve as a relay point for commands to to their fighters and smaller attack ships. Using the Corsair's design as a basis, the Carrack-class boasts greatly improved communications arrays and a modular construction allowing for flexibility unmatched anywhere else in the Orion armada.
Trait: Coordinated Suppression - Whenever you activate a Tactical or Command ability, your pets gain Suppression Barrage I.
Can load cannons, Sensor Scan, innate Target Subsystems, Secondary Deflector
In a controversial move, the Gorn Hegemony surprised their allies when they unveiled the Dimachaerus, a light, fast, aggressive new vessel. Retaining the advanced scientific capabilities Gorn vessels are known for, the Dimachaerus abandons the survivability of a more massive vessel in favor of a smaller but more nimble ship, as well as integrating new intelligence technologies and a modular build not unlike the Orion Carrack-class, a fact that aroused suspicion in Klingon High Command.
Trait: Precision Beam - Your Target Subsystems beam abilities drain more power and are more likely to knock out a subsystem.

Guys on designing new ships. Hit up the Klingon Subsection, Syndicate Science Support Vessel(2 Pack) Last page has 4 ships that other KDF members and I designed last year. One for the Orions, one for the Nausicans, one for the Letheans, one for the Gorn and all T6. They could still use some input and tweaking. Plus as long as you have a ship idea in mind, I'm willing to help you stat it out and add it to the list.
What I would like to see (never happen but, wth) the Ultimate War time Klingon ship. A BOP on par with a Scimitar. All new tech. that says to any race, don't F#$% with us. Maybe even a few episodes showing a Honor bound Klingon thats went Ape TRIBBLE and breaks into a Military base and steals the new Warbird. It could make for some good gaming, if done right. A T6 BOP on par or (dare I say) better than a Scimitar. All the while firing while cloaked (and NO stuppied 2 minute consoles either, true FWC all the time). There could even be a mission where you have to steal some tech. to even be able to locate the beast. Oh! man it could be good.
because it's copywrit by them, being the name of a star wars cruiser
I took a moment to google it and it's apparently it's just the class name of an obscure ship from some post-Disney Star Wars novels. I'm inclined to believe they won't care so long as Cryptic doesn't make it look like their Carrack-class.
If you have a better class name suggestion, feel free to say so, o scholar of all things obscure copyright.
