summer event not happening this year

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
i am guessing cryptic not doing the summer event this year cause of the expansion. if anyone has other ideas of why its not happening this year or can confirm it is or isnt happening please feel free to post

    It's already on the in-game calendar. Starting June the 10th, so there's plenty of time for them to release details and blogs.

    ok was wondering since of not seeing the blogs yet but at least there is confirm of it happening and when now just needing the blogs now in the next couple of weeks

    I don't see why the summer event wouldn't be on this year. We had the ship leaked about a month ago accidentally by them so it's not like we don't know what that one is. The in-game calendar has had the Crystalline Entity event and the Lohlunat festival borders around it for a month. Since the crystal snowflake event ends next week, we'll get the blogs then.

    The Summer Event is happening. My previous post was about one of the devs on a podcast stating that the Summer Event wasn't happening, then seconds later admits it was a joke.

    not only is it on the calendar the Vorgon ship for it leaked early

    I'd actually go through the trouble of earning a Vogon ship, Vorgon on the other hand ... not so much.

    I also wouldn't mind a Vorlon ship, preferably the one that can destroy planets :)

    I like to pretend that some people here still have sense. Besides, I've only seen 50 so far. I expect the number to triple by the end of June.

    Umm... I only remember two Vorgons appearing on TNG - and only Picard and Vash saw them. They also didn't mention a ship, only something about time-travel.

    If you pick any of the Breen ships, apply the new Upgrade Material, pick the Andromeda pattern, and pick yellow colors, you might have something that in shape doesn't resemeble a Vogon ship in any possible way... But the colors totally work for a construction ship.

    Technically, it's not on the calendar. There's a border around every day past the Crystalline event, but no banner for the Summer Event, yet. That being said, there's basically nothing else that would run that long at this time of year save for the Summer Event, and with the leaks out there, it's definitely running.

    Edit: Now that June has begun where I live, you can look ahead to July on the calendar, and there's a banner for the Lohlunat Festival there in the top left square. As expected, it's scheduled from noon eastern on June 9th until noon Eastern on July 21st.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    @anodynes That little string of lights banner that starts on June 9th? Yeah, that's the Risa banner. I've only seen one Risa and I can tell you that, so... y'know.

    Instead of assuming the worst and then posting about something that only exists in your head, why not first google and see if there is an answer there in the first few results, and if that fails ask about the issue on the forum/reddit?

    Hasn't the internet been around long enough for people to have learned how to avoid pointless discussions?
