Here is a picture of the situation most of you are very familiar. CPU ist bored to hell. I could easily play The Division or SW Battlefront simultanously and there would be no impact on these games performance.

There's a fix for Risa up on Redshirt right now.

question is if this fix really will work... and if so who long it would take to apply it to ALL the other maps of the game

On redshirt now. It's not a fix, but it's a significant improvement on my system. Testing at ~38fps normally, looking towards affected part of map (Jungle) drops things down to ~15fps (previously around ~5 fps). I can get that up to ~18 FPS on minimum settings. Max settings has ~9.

It's not good, but it's technically playable.

The fix made everything worse for me... I am getting alot lower FPS today.

Yesterday I was on redshirt to test some other stuff... the FPS was alot better there on maps like Starfleet Academy or Sector space. On tribble today the performance is alot worse.

Did tribble get these updates? It doesn't look like it from the recent patch notes. Try holodeck, see what the performance is there.

After todays update my framerate exploded from 5 FPS to the 35-40 FPS (average) like it was two years ago.

Would be interesting to know how broad an improvement you're seeing. I just visited New Romulus Command Center and it doesn't appear to have been affected by today's update on my end.

Not quite as big an improvement for me I'm afraid. I'd say Risa is no longer completely unplayable, but it is FAR from a pleasant experience. :/ A very similar situation to @duncanidaho11, and I doubt the improvement will be enough for me to participate on Risa. Unless this isn't the only fix incoming.

Indeed. It does not. Other maps like New Romulus Command, the New Link mission, the Kuvah'Magh mission etc. are not affected by this fix. Thei're still a horrible slideshow experience.

For me the performance on Risa is as bad as it used to be. The performance in other locations has become even worse. I have 5-8fps on klingon academy now.

On max settings, i got ~10-12 fps 'night/day' (was 5-8) when facing the resort, and ~25-30 (was 15-20) when facing the ocean. Low settings 22 fps in the resort, and 35 !Green zone! seeing the water. I do not expect more from cryptic. it seems these are their best, they would not call it a fix otherwise.

What it could be then is just a general boost to Risa performance which helps soothe other problems. Or these performance issues are caused by a cocktail of little bugs (all hardware specific) and cryptic's taken care of one or a few affecting one map (but not the total).

Either way, people should not be looking at this as a general fix.

    Bump. Exactly the same...

Recent fix meant a slight improvement from 4-15FPS. I just walk around with the camera facing a away from the buildings on Risa now.

Same damn bug. Not putting my specs because I have a worse computer than everyone else, so what's the point? It's clearly not working right. The only way I get a frame rate that's usable is if I'm pointing directly at the planet. I look at the skybox and the game turns into a really horrible slide show. It has always done it since the mission was released. How about, you know, fixing the thing already? Rip out the sky box for a start and see if it doesn't act horrible or whatever. I'm very annoyed with this as it is TRIBBLE with my mission challenge right now.
I know there is a method but all I see is madness.
