Don't care which reality/time period it comes from.
Extremely unlikely to happen. The one nacelle (and three nacelle TOS dreadnought) designs are owned by Franz Joseph's estate. CBS/Cryptic/PWE would have to negotiate with them to get the ships in the game, which I don't see occurring.

Considering all T6 Ships within the new Bundle are already "modern-looking" I don't really see the point in a new Veteran Ship ... and if there really is one it's probably just the Chimera with a different "modern-looking-FED-Skin" or maybe something from the "future / 31st century" ...

I'd go for something like that. Or a TOS skin on the Chimera

What about a T6, TOS style Miranda with an optional phaser lotus mission pod?

I don't really care if it's either or tbh ... I just don't see what would suggest that anything beyond T5 (or even T2 for that matter) is supposed to be "TOS-Style" ...

Zero actually brings some answers about the faction specific items and the races. Basically, Animated Series stuff is out, and the TOS faction is indeed a true separate faction like the Romulans, with their own ships not usable by the other factions. She seemed a bit unsure about the specifics, but it's confirmed: no caitians, and a true separate faction.

That's really a shame. I was hoping for just a little bit more customization in respect to my AoY character. I really think the Devs have made a mistake on this one.

From what she said, it would just not be a good fit in STO. The current 2410 caitians wouldn't fit in TOS, and translating the TAS ones would be hard to make look right when translating from animation to the more realistic style of STO (she specifically called out that Champions would be able to make it work, but STO it would be too far). As for TAS in general, she said that they had to draw a line somewhere as far as source scope (she mentioned TMP, and the other movies as well), and they decided to keep to the original three seasons.
Yeah, it seems that the Dev's were pretty arbitrary in Their choices for what to include.
And excluding The Animated Series was a big mistake IMO.
A shame really...

Zero's explanation for excluding TAS Caitians made sense.
That said, I think they easily could have made caitians that looked like they were from TOS, just make a CG model of a stuffed cat doll and make the eyes blink

They still can make Caitians playable though since they already are playable. They don't have to put them in episodes and places they don't want to. They don't even have to change their looks. The Andorian and Tellarite TOS looks still have to be paid for. Cutting existing content that is already playable by the same faction and has a place in the lore in the era will be alienating people not wanting to play the 4 founders ever. Making them not want to play a TOS character at all, because why bother playing something if it won't let you play what you want. There's lore for 4 or 5 other already playable species for the faction to still be playable in the TOS era. I would love to play a Trill. The least they could do is add alien gen. They did it for the romulans. I already have an Andorian and I don't want to play humans, vulcans, or tellarites. My romulan is basically my vulcan character to begin with.
Well if wishful thinking could somehow waft through the ether into Cryptics plans I'd be wishing that in lieu of the extant LTS perks I could instead get a manly mustache (there's not a drop of testosterone in the current ones) and a half smoked 'smoking' cigar costume pieces I'd be more than satisfied.

Maybe they'll add TOS Veteran Awards sometime after the expansion goes live? Still possible at this point. Though it is too early to know for certain yet.

As I recall that's what happened with the Romulan vet rewards.

Good question. It really depends if you want to include ENT or not. I me then you can have Denobulan. I would be down with Denobulan.
Also back to the OP as a Romulan, you couldnt use Borg boff, Android, etc etc till you choice a faction. So i would say its the same here.

Ha! Nice response. I only hope our free android BOFF comes with an option for a numbered necklace.
Better yet, let veterans have that as a race option so we can serve Starfleet, and they can be controlled.

If I had any post-production editing skills, I'd put a Starfleet badge on Robocop who'd say 'To protect and serve.'

Per Thomas the Cat: CBS specifically told Cryptic not to use any Frans Joseph designs, even those that qualify as canonical.
