His very name brings images of a highly skilled, lovable, and often concerned technician. His work made Star Trek what it is, as one of the most iconic series.
And Yaaaaay for Chris Doohan agreeing to do his father voice in the game!

Growing up watching Trek, I didn't care about Kirk, Spock or McCoy; Scotty was my hero. He's the reason I went in to engineering in college. So glad we're getting more of him.
I never noticed till just now, that Scotty changed the side he parted his hair on later in life.
Gosh, if Mr. Doohan were still with us he'd be 96 this year.
Funny how one gets all nostalgic thinking about past friends and relations.
I consider all the Star Trek actors/characters to be my "friends".
They've spent more time wandering around in my head than anyone else.

Very nice job on Scotty - especially the TOS version!
Too bad his older version looks so mad. A mischieveous smile would have been great!
This is much better work than the Leeta model. Poor Chase must have been a little disappointed - with the mirror look in particular - it's terrible, doesn't look like her at all.
Sorry I meant James Doohan, his accent is to, be perfectly blunt, not great. In fairness though, Scottish accent is very difficult, still haven't heard any actor do a convincing one. So Chris is just someone copying a bad copy to me

Don't mind me just being a snobby Scot here
What about Iain De Caestecker? Fitz on Agents of Shield. People complained about his accent...accept he's actually Scottish.
"Rise like Lions after slumber, In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew, Which in sleep had fallen on you-Ye are many they are few"
Perhaps by the 23rd century, the Scottish accent changed and the one Scotty has is perfectly in line with the times. Languages evolve over time, I would guess accents could too.
On a more serious note, seeing 2 versions of Scotty does give hope that there will be more than simply the TOS era involved. The original movies and maybe even Scotty post Relics could be involved. That's 3 potential timelines right there.
Can't wait to see Chekov.
Maybe we could get a few lines from Uhura and Sulu at some point? Just because.
Also, if there is any chance at all for McCoy to be voiced in the game, getting Karl Urban to do it would be awesome. While the new movies are not the Star Trek I grew up with, they do have their good points and Karl absolutely nailed it as McCoy, IMO. He may want more than the budget would allow though so it would be understandable if that never happens.

A lot of folks thought that about Jerri Ryan, but They got her.

This looks so great. Thank you for redoing the Scotty model and for getting Chris Doohan to provide his voice. I loved the Origianl Series, and I'm also a fan of Star Trek Continues, so this is a double treat for me.
Say what you will about the writing and so forth, but STO's art department has always done a fantastic job. I love it!

Chris Doohan does such an exceptional portrayal of his father in ST:Continues. Having him in STO play Scotty as well... it's a special, special tribute.
Gosh, if Mr. Doohan were still with us he'd be 96 this year.
Wow, didn't it go by in a blink ?
I had the pleasure of seeing Mr Doohan in person MANY years ago at a Creation convention here in Boston. What a fantastic guy he was!
He entertained us with his many vocal talents imitating many different accents. His stories about his time creating the Trek we all loved. The audience hung adoringly on his every word.
I also had the pleasure of seeing Mark Lenard in person too.
I was just a young wipper snapper in those days , dragging my poor late Grandmother into the big city, (Boston), to see those conventions. She was such a good sport about it too!
I can remember like it was yesterday watching: The Voyage Home, at the movies, when Scotty's: "Hello computer !" made everyone laugh.
The family was all still together then and we were all having fun right along with them. Good times !
I'm so happy Chris is breathing the life into his father's beloved character. The Devs got his image just right too. What a collaboration and work of love!
Yeah, I met Mr. Doohan here in Albany, NY way back in the early '80's when he came as a guest to a local Trek Con.
(George Takei was also a guest that weekend, I actually went jogging with him very early that Sat morning)
They were both delightful gentlemen.
We had a wonderful time interacting with them and getting their autographs.
I miss those days, we even had Gene Roddenberry come to a local college and do a five hour presentation.
(It cost me $15 bucks to attend)
Now one has to pay a fortune and travel to mega-cities just to be able see them from a distance.

I wonder if this Scotty model will be missing the right middle finger, which is noticable in ST4. James lost it as a Canadian soldier in WWII.
I fondly remember meeting James Doohan at Toronto Fan-Expo a few years before he passed. He was a really sweet and kind gentleman. Of all the Star Trek cast, he was my favorite to meet.

My Captain actually studied under Scotty in the Academy so if you guys are saying he's still alive I'm cool with it.
Agreed. Scotty was THE man.

Still, I guess it's an improvement over the current version.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Be patient. Information will come. It's probably not releasing until sometime after the Summer event anyway so we got time.
