I must confess that I feel like a monster! I mean I've probably killed billions, and because I had to hide something from the tholians, I basically allowed billions more to die or be sentenced to be wanderers and set up a time war.
Yeah I'm the monster here, thanks devs.

And really you think Ogedei was worse than Ghengis?
we all got a little Genghis Khan in all of us. those Mongolian raiders sure did a number at one point before being stopped.
Genghis was probably the most ruthless leader to of existed with all the murder and pillaging his nomadic horde accomplished then Ogedei extended that savage beatdown on the russians, polish and hungarians.
in both cases there was General Subutai who commanded the most battles of any military commander in history and most successful at it as well, if historical records are accurate he was a commoner who had a knack for out thinking his opponents by using siege weapons, diplomacy, spies and adjustable tactics. the true mastermind behind the mongol victories until Ogedei's death and his not long afterwards. He famously/infamously dismantled two armed forces from 2 countries in 2 days and quickly took several russian towns and cities.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

This thread got me to thinking and I decided to limit myself to STO only.
Starfleet is the military arm of the Federation, so they're "technically" one and the same monster...
As such, my list:
Iconians
Borg
Vulcans
Yes, Vulcans. If they didn't have a rough history, there'd be no Romulans. If they could ever figure out how to interface human emotion with their logic, they wouldn't have Humanity trying to upstage them left, right, up, down, etc. If the only "Vulcan" who understood the Emotion/Logic interaction didn't "miss his shot with Red Matter", JJ-verse would not be around...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

So, apparently we can condense the list to "Spock"
Yes, Spock was the ultimate villain.
1) He was the enabler behind the war crimes committed by Kirk.
2) His 'diplomatic' efforts resulted in the murder of a Klingon Chancellor.
3) He incited disaffection with the lawful government of The Romulan Star Empire, thus destabilizing an entire quadrant.
4) His 'scientific' inquiries lead to the destruction of billions of otherwise peaceful law abiding citizens.
5) He then created a timeline which threatens to destroy fifty years of Star Trek development.
And most damning of all: Spock's existence created the conditions under which STO could exist. Without Spock, there could be no STO.
The only real monster in the universe is your own character. Hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, dead.
Murder Hobos

Yeah hes pretty much a buffoon, he uses the clown persona to hide the fact hes very right wing.
That and he's technically the second most powerful man in Europe (per capita). Very worrying, even more so if you know he is in line to the throne, even if it's several thousand deaths away, the historical time limit still isn't enough, he's a major war away from being king!

Bit of an exageration but he certainly has a lot of descendants, a significant portion of the Chinese population can be traced back to him. Then again, go back far enough and we're all related. 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents, eventually you've covered everyone on Earth. The modern white European population can all be traced back to Charlemagne.
There's your bizarre, random fact for the day: we're all cousins!

The Federation has no military arm. Starfleet is not a military. Having guns on your ships does not a navy make.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The worst part about FE is that they keep showing up with their "hurr durr balance" nonsense.
To the KDF : If you ever decide to blast them from orbit, let me know. I'll even get a IKS prefix for my defiant!
Wolfman is more a tragic figure for his lack of control than his ravenous appetite for destruction.
And really you think Ogedei was worse than Ghengis?

Federation
Starfleet
Iconians
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Technically it was the romulans who started the iconian insanity by a paradox created by starfleet so you are scary right...
