Can't switch to Pheonix small craft.

I got the promo ship from the C store for the giveaway going on and after using it in my inventory i can not seem to find it in the ship selection. there is nothing else in my inventory and there is no additional option at the ship requisitions. what happened the the ship?

^ what duncanidaho said. Its not a playable ship. Its a card for the Admiralty System. A pretty sweet card too. Ignores ALL event modifiers. So if you got a nasty Borg Transwarp Gate adding to all the categories... slot that in and BAM! Event neutralized.
(An actual ship would be nice. I'd love to fly one.)
Check your Admiralty system if you are of sufficient level. You should see one of these:

With the summer event (and a new T6 ship) on the horizon I kinda doubt that we'll get another event ship now. Maybe an Ent-E ship card?

And yet the admiralty card has better base stats than any other small craft, with a potential +50 all or +100 to one category.
Nah, its ok in this case; Cryptic already accidently let that one slip Saturday. Some people could see, but not obtain, the Sovereign instead of the Phoenix. But it got fixed quickly. Still, to paraphrase the words of Patrick Stewart's character on Extras... we saw everything.
Who said it would be a T6 they'd give away. We could get any lower tier ship. They've given away T5s and lower in the past. That's how I finally got the Sao Palo and Excelsior refit.
What's so evil about that? Better get the Admiralty cards straight up anyway, instead of having to free up ship slot just to claim 'n' dismiss.
For flying, we have the T6 Scimitar.

I seem to have lost a day somewhere, there was a giveaway today that I was not expecting until tomorrow, oh well at least I didn't miss it.
I assume that is the last of the giveaways for this event, all very useful items.

ironically I find that with many posts made by cryptic that you can guarantee that some players will ask questions where the answer is clearly stated in the post.
even sometimes months after an announcement is made regarding certain new changes players will refuse to believe that these new changes exist as they haven't encountered them yet even when you post links to the actual posts regarding the new changes.
I just put it down to word blindness, they see but they do not observe.

I'd less concerned with how its launched than how the hell they were able to land it in one piece. I mean really, how is it supposed to have landed
from the way it is built Im thinking it pulls an 'apollo' in that the command module breaks off and that part returns to earth with a parachute.
