Adv pugs are a nightmare at the moment, completed 1 in the last 12.... 1 run me in a 18k bop other 4 under 10k, they couldent even make 18k added together, the diff between normal & adv is to great.
During the Breach event I ran it 98 times Pugging. 98 times I asked the team to "Please close hanger doors and don't shoot the fake cores." Every time, people didn't close hanger doors and always shot the fake Subcores with the ? on them. Shocking I know...
yes, there are a lot of ppl out there who have no clue what needs to be done in a particular mission, and which will run advanced and elite runs anyway. and i completely agree with those who said that in such cases, it's up to you to htfu and save the mission. imo, most missions are way too easy anyway, so with a fail pug they become a challenge. and isn't that what playing a game is all about, being presented with a challenge, and overcoming it?
in the recent breach event, my favourite run was full of quitters. during the trench run, i think we went through 7 players with new joins, and after the dust settled we were only 3 at the citadel. at the sub-cores, we lost another team member, so we finished the run with only 2. it felt epic. we were the big damn heroes saving the day, freeing all the ships, and having like 5 minutes left on the timer. it is this run that stuck out from all those runs where things went smooth, or ppl just slightly TRIBBLE up, or don't know what to do.
in conclusion: don't be the hero that the pug deserves. be the hero that the pug needs!

Agreed, the unpredictable and unscripted nature of them is the draw.
Yea, after a player has reached a certain level of progressions pugs are the only peeps capable of keeping the game entertaining and worth doing.
DPS channels as well as fleets are cool and server their purpose but no pugs mean no game for me.
