Since leaving the anniversary event the game freezes me to change maps at random, it stays between 40 and 50 percent charge on the screen and stay there .
I tried it on Windows 7 and Windows 10, direct x9 and DirectX11 .
And as usual .
But calm 've Cryptic , Do you deaf ear to these problems we're having all that to see if they are arranging their own.
are anyone of you running it through steam or arc ? hit ctrl + zlt + delete and run task manger and what your cpu % for sto client and arc or steam is running at. i have looked at it and when the map loading locks up my cpu is running at 70% or more. so when the map loading is stuck or frozen, locked up . is the only time i see that. could this be a memory leak with in the sto client ? its the only game i see this in. and is there any way of running sto client with out running the arc or stem client to see if that is where the problem is at ?
I've been playing around a mission and then to try to do it every day has been refrozen (and passage of keep doing it ) and it has been frozen, I caught a glimpse of the task manager and it appears that the application consumes 1177.0 megs of ram , slightly or greatly exaggerated .
But hey , we have to wait until after the event to be solved alone, as always, thank cryptic to ignore us and go back to another event. A great start to the sixth anniversary .
And now with today's patch, I can't even get into the game. I login, got the update and pressed engage. The screen goes black and the game just stops after 5 seconds.
This has been happening for me as well. More specifically, it happens at 40-50 on the load screen timer, usually when it looks like it's trying to load the screen shots. Almost always when it's trying to load the screenshots.

Same for me.
Though, it's more common on loading into heavy populated maps, rather than missions.
EDIT*
So far, from what I can see, I fixed it by running in windowed mode - from full-screen.
The screen blinks once, where it normally would crash.

Yep, still happening to me too. I've probably restarted 5 times in the last hour.

I go to the folder where I have downloaded the game and run the game from the executable

Looking at Task Manager:
CPU: 0%
Memory: 625.0 MB
Disk: 0
Network: 0
If I click on the black screen, it goes grey, but doesn't respond otherwise.
I've tried this in safe mode and normal with same results.
