Game only able to run in safe mode?

So I bought a new PC in October, played ok for a few days, then ran into an issue when I started the game it would stop at the New Dawn screen and not continue. Saw in the forums that others where having this issue and so today i've tried running in safe mode like some have advised and i'm not running fullscreen. So far, this seems to have worked. Is this the only solution? I actually created a ticket with Perfect World and whatever fool I was dealing with had the nerve to say my system didn't have the minimum requirements to play the game...despite that fact that i've gone from 4 to 16gb ram, windows 10, i7-6700 CPU, 64 bit system, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 745...so obviously Perfect World/Cryptic doesn't have a solution. Just looking for any other solutions if available. Thanks in advance!

    It REALLY spike swhen I change a setting, and lags tremendously when I hit anything too. Right now...it's virtually unplayable, and didn't have too big a problem last night. This is really bad.

    Had the same issue a while back.After contacting support I was told to add a code to the command line in the options window o f the launcher.
    Code is
    -d3d11Enable 0

    Ok, i'll try that. Thanks for the info. Apparently whoever you dealt with in support was more helpful than who I'm dealing with. The last response I got from support was that the problem is Windows 10. According to him, the minimum requirements are "windows vista, 7, or 8". Sounds like the most ridiculous thing i've heard...apparently they have an issue with upgrading their games to work with newer technology...or at least that's what it sounds like to me.

    Only been able to use safe mode for the last 3 months, or whenever I upgraded to windows 10. Still get freeze-ups on map changes though ....

    Refugee from those other games!

    I keep getting ctd with the client and I'm on windows 7 with enough ram to handle the game with a nvidia geforce 8800 gts graphics card.

    Don't know why the client keeps crashing

      I'm having the same issue. It crashes, won't even run in safe mode. This never used to be a problem and now it is. I don't get it.
