Calling it right now: Annorax promo next week. I find it too much of a coincidence we have an R&D sale now and that they confirmed that the Anniversary ship is a Krenim Temporal ship, which could mean we get a set bonus with the Annorax (or a 4 piece set, I don't remember if the Annorax has a set bonus with the Krenim Lockbox and Lobi ships).

Also, in the Giveaway announcement, it says they're giving way NEW C-store items. Not exactly sure what that means, but I'm expecting items that we've never gotten before in past giveaways, SO NO TIER 2 RHODE ISLAND FOR A 3RD TIME!!

New science ship is good (really, really trying not to do something insane like save up for the temp sci ship, so this will still the urge)

Now can we get the Samsar in the Lobi store since the console's part of a zen-store set? :)

Putting the old event ships in the lobi store, or dil store would be a win for everyone. Lobi would make them money or the dil store would at least be a dil sink.

    Yawn.. more temporal TRIBBLE.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Ugh, Krenim pig-19.gif. But a giveaway and the rest of the anniversary event sounds good, so this will be enough compensation for more temporal schmu pig-1.gif

Just to clarify, the Voyager episode featuring the Krenim was probably the best that ill-written show had to offer and I greatly enjoyed Kurtwood Smith in it and it was even a compelling story about love and revenge - but it was interesting for an (two-part) episode. Just like the Mirror Universe it was a plot point that, in my opinion, doesn't work when padded out for more/longer story arcs.

Can't wait for it to start. Will grind omega particles as much as I can  Really hope the console from this new Krenim ship won't be part of the set with other Krenim ships like Imperium warship, Annorax, Zahl

any chance of life sub reduction again for a short period of time? I have come back to the game after 5 years away (i know, i know). Im hooked, despite lack of game time due to work, its great to jump on for an hour or so and level up. If the life sub came down to $199 (£140) I would jump at that

Captains will also see the return of a fan-favorite! We’re bringing back the Omega Particle minigame where Q tasks you with stabilizing Omega Particles across the galaxy. i]emphasis mine[/i

This seems just a mite presumptious to me. Does it not? I mean, the omega particle event has happened all of one time, and when it was released, it practically broke the game. It was super grindy with pathetically unbalanced rewards, and caused lag and server latency issues that make the current issues look downright lovable.

Not saying that I won't be playing. Of course I will. I am as excited as anyone that we're finally getting a full on T6 science vessel. And having just finished binge watching all of Enterprise I'm all set to go full tilt into this Temporal story line. So I am set and ready to roll.

Just don't try to fuel the hype train with something that was done once, and not very well implented from the get go.

I like the idea of a science ship. This may get my Sci character off the back burner. Since my Science options at this time is limited. I need to see what they offer first.

I will try for some of the Omega stuff, but I won't get a lot of it. Since I'm more likely being caught up in the ship grind. And can't get the Omega stuff each day. I just hope I can do the ship daily within my morning time limits to play.

I am hoping that the krenim ship comes with its own unique secondary deflector.
Either way, i bet the krenim science ship will have awesome synergy with the breen space set.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Hmmm, the unknown user is now an administrator? I can't wait to grind for this ship for my Ferasan sci dude. Also will need to level him up so he can use it.

Definitely will stockpile Omega particle traces. I can grind the ship on one character and Omega particles on another if I have to.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Oh, so the Omega thingy is not the one we need to do for Anniversary tokens ? Good. :)

It still mentions the Omega game being tied to the daily from Q, so it's very likely that it is how we get the vouchers for the ship.

I am hopeful for this event as it seems more like the ones we used to have. Maybe we get the ship as part of the FE as we certainly cant use our own ship to travel to the 28th Century can we now? So do the FE a few times over a few weeks building a set and then we get the ship maybe?

Be prepared for disappointment. We can time travel backwards with our ships, so it's likely we could travel forward just as easily, in fact, we do just that when we return to our own time from the past, don't we? Even if not, Walker could take us there aboard the Pastak, or (worst case scenario) we get put onto the new Krenim ship as part of the storyline for the FE, like Temporal Ambassador, Sphere of Influence or Step Between Stars. They probably wouldn't have bothered with the buyback if there wasn't a new currency to use for the new ship. Why buy back something which is not being replaced? There will be a set from the FE to get us to replay it, and there will be a game, likely Omega, based on the mention of the daily from Q in the Omega blog, to get the remaining tokens needed for the ship.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    Question:
Is this a do once and the ship unlocks account wide or do it on every character to claim?

Should be. That is what they've been doing the last 2 events.

They usually do that twice a year. Just before winter and again in summer, iirc.

Uh, the massive server load was apparently caused by huge numbers of people playing the event. :p I mean really... at one point there was like a dozen instances on ANDORIA... A location that is a ghost town otherwise.

That's why they should make stuff we can do and explore on the open worlds... also winter event on Andoria would be awesome instead of the Q's wonderland. The wonderland is just so freakin cheesy.

Imagine if "Q" suddenly decided to move his Winter Event to Andoria...

Cheesy is kind of the point since Q's purpose is to mess with our heads.

Last time the lagg/latency during the omega game was so bad that i was actually glad if i hit 100.

There-in lies the problem. They made Q something of a joke, kinda like the Voyager writers did. I miss the more malevolent Q. The one that forced our encounter with the borg and forced us to really re-evaluate ourselves.
