horrendous lag after server maintenance 1/21/2016

so, I grabbed today's patch, logged in, and EVERYTHING is lagging, chat, admiralty, doff... its taking upwards of 30 seconds from clicking a command to the command being executed. then I got booted after attempting to set a doff assignment.

I ran the standard troubleshooter, reset all my hardware, cleared cache, cookies, reset IE settings(on a lark) cleared the transporter pattern buffer..

did someone forget to feed the server hamster today?

1- Murphy’s Law tells us that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
2- And anything that does go wrong will get progressively worse.
3- And if you survive the first two laws it’s time to panic.

    Same thing. Fine yesterday but now there is so much lag the UI barely loads. Kicks out after a few minutes, sometimes can't even get as far as logging in. Can't see any local problems.

    Ive been having horendous lag since last weeks patch (14.01.16). I havent been able 2 do anything pve list wise with it being that bad. it wass fine b4 that patch. was hoping that the long downtime 2day would fix the issue but how wrong was I 4 thinking that. Not a happy bunny :-(

    No lag here.

    Not trying to be counter productive, but quite the opposite. Could it be that something didn't patch right or you have a weak Internet connection? I would try a force-verify and checking your connection status. Just trying to help you all find a possible solution, as the game for me is buttery smooth.

    I COULD be among the lucky ones though.

    yeah you're one of the lucky ones...my earlier comment should have indicated me doing both things and calling my isp. they say I'm golden, for the record.

    Well, then I don't know what it is. I HAVE, however, had a big problem with the game actually crashing the moment I try to do anything of note in the game, and a major problem with chatting in sector space where the game seems to ignore the fact that I'm trying to chat and pop up every window associated to the keys that I'm hitting for my message. For instance, you don't know how many times I've had the transwarp window pop up from hitting my T key while trying to chat...THAT is maddening alone, if you're having that on top of lag problems and possibly crashing...I can feel your frustration.
