    433.5k CCA.. what?!

    It's not wizardry, it's just a 1billion+ EC exploit.

...and Holofrog is still struggling to find an original idea.

I personally find it kind of great that they advertise for me on their leaderboards... you'd have thought with all the cheeze/broken abilities/exploits that they have no issues with, they'd have found a way to bump me from the #1 Engi. Hell, I didn't even need a team of recluses to set that.

I for one do care that they are taking advantage of an expliot and then posting the video and saying "look how great we are". It shows their true character.

gz your number 1 in a cetagory noone really cares about

So its no advertisement.. if you did it yo're up there if you didnt then you're not. We're not the ones removing/excluding ppl we dont like from the boards.

And kam really? you mean as original an idea as letting porch/john buy you a ship and then make a vid of how the different shields look on it? if thats original for you you can keep it^^

In the end just do what I did -- accept that ryan is just a much better player than you'll ever be and all will be fine ;) THe only "exploit" ryan uses is his login button.. and I agree thats completely broken and imba and exploity.

Plenty of people care about it. There is more to this game than Tactical Romulan captains.
So its no advertisement.. if you did it yo're up there if you didnt then you're not. We're not the ones removing/excluding ppl we dont like from the boards.

We've never removed people from the board because we don't like them. We only remove records because something has been nerfed or removed, like how we recently cleared all Torp Spread records and records over 75k. if 1 or 2 people feel singled out because they where among the 1600 records removed... well then they have an issue called Paranoia.

We exclude the Metals admins from our board just like they exclude us from the metal channels. it goes both ways.
And kam really? you mean as original an idea as letting porch/john buy you a ship and then make a vid of how the different shields look on it? if thats original for you you can keep it^^

Holofrog didn't even know what DPS was in this game when I started the Wizards of STO campaign. Ryan, Benni and co. where never part of the original cast of Wizards. This is just something else the metals decided to copy/steal because they can't come up with something new and original.
In the end just do what I did -- accept that ryan is just a much better player than you'll ever be and all will be fine ;) THe only "exploit" ryan uses is his login button.. and I agree thats completely broken and imba and exploity.

Funny how a Torpedo glitch/exploit was reported by the bug bashers recently and shortly after Ryan has a video showcasing the very glitch.

As for Ryan being a better player... that's nice for Ryan. I won't clap because he might get traumatized. It great that you can accept that, personally i have better things to do than spend 4+ hours warping out of a queue just to get that one perfect, inflated run.

There is one thing Ryan does that I think is great, and that he should make a video about to show everyone how amazeballs he is: A video explaining how to kick 7400 people out of channels while that game servers are down. I'm sure everyone would like to see what Ryan and co's Kicks/second parse at.

Oh and Sano, i think you might learn something from this.

For the last couple of months, you, Sarcasm, have suggested that being good in this game's PvE or being a "Wizard of STO" was, to a certain extent, about character. And although I've not been willing to engage in your attacks on me, I have been here for quiet a long time now, and I can tell you without hesitation: Being a "Wizard of STO" is entirely about character.

For the record, yes, I joined that group of players later, but the more important question is "Why aren't you, Sarcasm, a "Wizard of STO"?"
Why would a person, his group's most powerful spokesman not be a "Wizard of STO"?
There is a definition by one of the developers, who is a "Wizard of STO" and who isn't. And you don't meet the requirements for that.
In "Priority One Episode 194 | Wizards of STO" after 18:22 the developer defined, that every person who is doing more than 60k DPS is a "Wizard of STO". Here is a screenshot from the DPS-League Table at that time, you can see, that you were not able to do 60k DPS. Per definition you are not a "Wizard of STO". And because of powercreep it's not possible to become a "Wizard of STO" later. Maybe the 17 highest DPSers can be now Wizards, like on that screenshot, but you are not part of the 17 highest DPSers.

I've known you, Sarcasm, now for more than a year. And I've been operating under the assumption that the reason you devote so much time and energy to shouting at the rain was that you simply didn't get it. Well, I was wrong. Your problem isn't that you don't get it. Your problem is that you can't sell it!

We have serious problems in this game to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you folks, Sarcasm Detector is not the least bit interested in solving it.
He is interested in two things, and two things only: making you afraid of it, and telling you who's to blame for it.
That is how you win forums PvP.
You gather a group of people, which are disappointed in this game, who remember with longing an easier time, and you talk to them about the old days and character.
You tell them who is to blame for their problems in this game. And you go on a podcast joining some other like minded people and call the developers of that game rapists.

Furthermore Sarcasm Detector is not even able to enjoy Christmas and have peace at Christmas. He needs to attack other players, who still are able to find some fun at this game.

We've got serious problems, and we need serious people. And if you want to talk about character, Sarcasm, you'd better come at me with more than one additional torpedo high yield, while you are ignoring, that you guys have known about it for months now, without bringing it to the developer's attention that it get fixed like Kemocite. I didn't know about that bug before you told us about it, after we have released our video, but if I now look at Odenknight's 150k CCA I see two buffs from that trait in his buff bar at the same time.

This is a time for serious people, Sarcasm, and your fifteen minutes are up.

My name is Holofrog, and I am a "Wizard of STO".

Nice vid again Holofrog & Wizards of STO. :)

Hope the other, old, forgotten wizards continue to decay themselves over posts of the Metal League. It's the greatest compliment they could make to you and so much fun for the rest of us to read.

So please continue to do what you do best, booth of you. ;)

Ahh, well, Merry Christmas to anyone reading this thread. I'd like to take this time to thank a bunch of people (don't worry, it's entirely relevant).

I'd like to thank Sarcasmdetector specifically for hundreds of hours of encouraging comments, support, advice, tips on how to do better, corrections now and then, and so much more help, in addition to always creating a challenge to strive for.

I'd like to thank the DPS League admins in general for their help and encouraging comments over the years, and for creating a fantastic positive community, in addition to creating and maintaining an up to date parser and a leaderboard that reflects what can be done, so that we all have something to strive for. Also thank you to you all for helping the community stay up to date with the current meta. All of you are a good lot, I've got a ton of great memories, and thank you all so much.

I'd like to thank 3 of those admins specifically, Porch, John numbers, and Sarcasm, for being members of the Original Wizards of STO , despite some other people trying to take over that name. The real Wizards of STO always have been, and remain, an inspiration.

I'd also like to thank the Reddit Stobuilds community for taking me in and both answering questions and being a place to share my knowledge and make it permanent for others, and for putting people in place to keep that place awesome, helpful, and up to date.

And I'd like to thank RyanSTO, for reminding me time and time again, that if hard work, skill, and practice aren't enough, you can always pull out an exploit, have 4 friends who only buff you up instead of dps'ing, or both, and people will still think you're the best out there. It is truly amazing each and every time.

To Felisean, for making several people tell me that they didn't want to be a part of the DPS Leagues (back when it was one) because of one of the Admins wasn't acting the way a leader or even channel member should, and for telling me that I'd go nowhere and be worthless in a Tank build.

To Omegashocker, for reminding us all that nobody is ever neutral.

To Holofrog, for reminding us that those who can't set records themselves can always fawn at the feet of others.

To Hellspawny, for reminding me that I'm bad because I didn't try to set records on Tribble, and for showing me how little some groups of 'experts' grasp the fundamental math of the game.

To NandoPC: You seem like a reasonable dude, at least what I've seen of late. Thanks for that. Always nice to have good reasonable people around.

And to the entire DPS-Pokmon team as a general statement: Thanks for booting us out of our channels, basically destroying DPS-Public, and dividing the whole community.

I resent the fact that you don't consider the Oberth a real ship!!
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

We only discovered this bug within the last week. I was present in the Teamspeak when it was discovered, and furthermore, as soon as it was discovered, an official bug hunter did submit a bug report. Funny how this video was not posted until AFTER that report was made.

Guys time to let it go its old news. Yes DPS Metal Admins pulled a underhanded/sly trick kicking all existing members of the Numbers channels on patch day and trying to grab control of the DPS league. Its for that very reason I left their channels and refuse to run any matches with them. Being removed from a channel i was happy with and told it was a restructure of the league which was a lie, was not the right way to go about it, and i hope in hindsight they realise those actions didn't win them any friends and would do things differently if they had the chance for a do over.

BUT... Lets draw a line under it now. They have their channels, We still have the Numbers. As angry, hurt and annoyed and feelings of betrayal the Numbers Admins have, the Metals are not part of the Numbers channels anymore, so lets move on they are past.

To keep the message constant between all the sources where this video was placed (including the now deleted facebook thread), thank you Ryan and guys for showing us just how broken the Sheshar trait actually is. As we agreed on the FB thread, it is clearly not working as intended and I'm sure between SOB and myself we will get the devs to focus on it thanks to videos such as these. It is the broken and or double procc'ing nature of traits such as these that is contributing to the lag we sometimes experience and whether the purpose of this video was to demonstrate a broken exploit or not, it will serve that purpose.

    Thanks guys.

Wait, do you know how that so called exploit even works?
The bug does not involve having both for sure as I do not have both, but only the intel variant which is the one year old one.
You can actually see the mechanic in Holo's linked video from half a year ago. (click the "Here" in his post)
Or look at the CCA video by Oden...

Don't worry, i'm sure they have someone scouring the Bug Hunters forum for the appropriate bug to exploit as we speak :D
Pretty sure I would just have to copy Oden's or Spencer's builds (you still remember the torpedo spread issue), as they usually are advertising what you later try to call an exploit...

And Torpedo Barrage is still being suggested on reddit: 1 day ago by Odenknight: Torpedo Barrage

You really should stop exploiting Oden, before The Exploit Detector tells you off and #s kicks you from your table ;D

I can confirm that the bug only requires one copy of the Sheshar to replicate what we see in Ryan and Co.'s vids. My tests haven't been scientific (just did a couple of solo Argala runs while watching the offending icons) and now that I see it and I am aware of it, it invalidates my own CCA runs and personal CCA bests which is kinda a bummer really...

I guess I'm going back to my old setups (which didn't use this trait). I'm not a fan of using broken mechanics. I hope this gets fixed soon since I did trade a Vonph for the Sheshar just for this trait, and I'd like to use it again (when it is working as intended).
