Ooooh that would be interesting. I personally still use the Bortasqu' with a disruptor heavy turret 3 pc undine set and point defense system console so it just spews disruptor fire everywhere. I definitely wouldn't mind if they decided to add a new 180° rear cannon to it.

Maybe a new set bonus that extends the arc?

An interesting and worthwhile thought. It may be just the ticket for quite a few, but not me. The big Bort unfortunately suffers from miserable turn radius. I would need the full 360 if I'm getting one. The set bonus also more likely means that I'd have to buy the Bort set, instead of just the one. Again, may still be worthwhile for others, just not for me.

We could have seats depending of the variant : Command for war Bortasqu', pilot for tac Bortasqu' and Intel for command Bortasqu'.
Also the consoles should be better than the T5 ones adding some passive effects like almost all T6 consoles. Maybe an addition of a hangar bay too? And i dream about a 5/3 Bortasqu'

I understand your logic in how you want the specializations distributed, but I find it funny to put command spec on the war bort, and not the command bort.

Though the Bort does already have access to lock trajectory if you know how to use it.

Well command Bortasqu' is supposed to be the "science" Bortasqu' I think intel suit more to it than the war Bortasqu' no?

Oh I understand that part. It's one of my favorite ships. It seems amusing as a mismatch in the text and thought processes.

And I'll point out that while the turn rate is low, the inertia is much more difficult to deal with.

This is probably the least sensible thing I've heard: Intel for the Command version, instead of Command for the Command version? What's the logic of this?

It is only the designation . They called it command Bortasqu' before the command spe came out as it has the sensor analysis. But if you prefer that way :
    Tatical Bortasqu' : pilot
    Engineering Bortasqu' : command
    Science Bortasqu' : intel
I am from Belgium and english isn't my main language, sorry if I make mistakes.

i think pilot skills on any battle cruiser except maybe the vorcha would not be a tad bit off. I cant see it ever happening on a bort or other of the larger battle cruisers , it would just be silly.

If you really look at the descriptions for Pilot BOFF abilities, some of them are great for Escorts but some are horrible for Escorts. Most especially those requiring maintaining close distances to an ally or target. That flying style doesn't maximize the capability and benefits of an Escort because it has to sacrifice speed and defense in doing so. OTOH, a Cruiser or other vessel where it is much slower? Very doable.

Case in point is the Pilot ability, "Form Up." Maintain close distance to an ally and both the ally and yourself get a rather long, hefty damage bonus. When I do that in my Escort, I have to throttle back a whole lot and sacrifice my flying to do this buff. Using Form Up on another fast Escort isn't happening. Using Form Up on a vessel much slower to my Pilot Ship holds me back.

But if a Cruiser or other slower vessel could use Form Up? Very doable and they wouldn't really have to give up much flight freedom in doing so.

If we have a Pilot Cruiser, i.e. Cmdr ENG/Pilot Hybrid Station, you bet I'll use Form Up III in that Cmdr slot.
