I checked my computer and it is running at 1,300 mbps. I tried signing in through steam, raptr, and Arc. There are no programs running in the back ground. Yet my character freezes every two seconds.
Lag tonight is absolutely ridiculous. My character is bouncing around like a squash ball.
Network my end is flawless, PC is running fine, no other programs running. This has got to be a server problem. Im guessing from the excess ppl playing for the Dilithium weekend.

This is a common thing whenever there is a dilithium weekend, I know a few players that will scream conspiracy or something but its just coincidence. LOL. I've been rubberbanding some as well its making mining with claims a waste of time and claims.
The problem might be an overload of players but I would prefer a timer then opening the flood gates and not being able to play at all. Every player that runs a trace has it point to the same spot. I have had outside networking experts review / confirm my findings. This gets really frustrating to all of us. I had this happen once when posting on the exchange. One 0 didn't register and I ended up selling a Tal Shiar Destroyer for 8 mill to xxxx@xxxxxx1988 on 9/20/2013. As you can see it is so far a permanent issue with the game. All we have left is venting conspiracy to deal with frustration.
Please, refrain mentioning the other player's account name negatively on the forums.
As for the rubberbanding, when servers are on a heavy load, they seem to be experiencing pocket losses and latency spikes to a small number of players. I've experienced this twice, in both times it passed after few minutes or after loading or two.
Sorry I'm out sick with a steroid as one of the meds. Rage kicks in.. I edited the post since it wasn't his fault. I am glad you have better luck than I do. I can sit all day waiting for things to clear up with no luck. It would be nice to not only be able to play the game but to also participate in events. Writing the issue off because its only a few players affected? That's just sad. I would pay a monthly subscription just to get an anti lag priority device. lol
Its been happening to me for the last couple of months, game is completely unplayable. I log in, i doff, i ship doff, check reps, I log out, that's all i'm capable of doing. Tera, Elite Dangerous, The Secret World, even things like Modern Warfare 3, I have no issues with, it's just STO. I am assuming its that bad router by the server? I had seen that issue crop up in the past, now I guess it's my turn.

Same here. Worked all weekend and now I get rubber banded. Got dropped 3 times in one mission. Had some players falsely report me as AFK during PVE because I got lagged even though I destroyed a few enemy ships. New to STO and not impressed with the behavior of the players, mods, or system mangers.
