I have an Engie' in a Fleet T6 "Excelsior", I have always loved the look of the ship. I also have the ships turn rate to 28.8'/sec without having any power to engines (over base) and is nimble enough for DBB omni AP/KCB build.
I figure I could use an Arbiter (which I do own) or an escort to do more dp but this ship more than holds its own in pugs, and is respectable when working with the high dps guys.
Sci in a Fleet T5U Nebula. Very tanky sci ship, and I like the looks of the ship (kinda funny since I'm not the biggest fan of the looks of the Galaxy), its nice and squat, so it looks like it can take punishment. Please Cryptic, come out with the T6!
Tac in an Arbiter. Trying to get a feel for what a Fed battlecruiser can do still.
In terms of actually played alts, I'm in a "back to basics" phase - preferring to run things that actually look like recognisable Trek ships. So my Fed's in an Alita (skinned for an Akira / NX-style look), KDF Tacs are in a Fleet K't'inga and Kor, KDF eng is in a Negh'tev. All good fun - running what looks like an older ship design is a very good match for why their gear is not absolutely top-notch and adds enormously to the fun of the game.
The exception is my KDF sci in his Korath (temporal science vessel) but that's mainly due to the lack of KDF Sci options...
My main flies the T6 fleet Excelsior, tried the resolute skin and it's ugly but the resolute neck looks great on the Enterprise B variant and classic excelsior look.

I'm a FED TAC and an escort has the best seating and console configuration for me...but I want to fly Rhode Island, Pathfinder or Sovereign! Right now though, I always go back to my Mobius.

- 2nd eng: like the others because it is a new toon, but asap he will use the fleet d'deridex (the old one) or the aehlal
- main tac kdf: krenim imperium warship, because the kdf ships are crappy; unused ships: fleet matha raptor and the mogh.
my 2 fav ships are the sci pilot ships (fed and rom), these ships are awesome, and the krenim imperium warship, awesome too. a special mention for the risian cruiser, this ship is 1 of the best cruiser available in game.
why I use these ships, some of them, because they are special (obelisk carrier, risian cruiser, old d'deridex -big TRIBBLE from the show- ) , and the others because they are nice and fit perfectly with my way of playing (escorts).
Reasons: well it is the first ship to fit both lt com eng and lt com sci stations, it has 3 tac boff slots for SROs and one being lt tac/int, perfect for OSS. Also fly a fun support build rather than a DPS build. One more reason is i think the hazari looks like fighter jet.

My FED engineer is currently flying T5-U Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier - Because it looks awesome and it still has some decent firepower. I'll replace it only for T6 Sovereign when she gets released. Earlier he was flying T6 Andromeda/Galaxy (and fleet variant little later), T5-U Galaxy X (fleet variant), T5-U Avenger (also fleet variant) and T5-U Galor.
My ROM tactical is flying new T6 fleet Ar'kif tactical carrier warbird - Because she looks awesome and is performing very well. It was hard to decide between her, Mogai and D'deridex, but I wanted a ship with hangar and best boff seating so I got her.
My Delta FED tactical is currently in normal advanced escort (Prometheus class) as I'm still leveling her and once I get enough ZEN/EC for fleet modules I'll get T6 Hestia (fleet version) for her.
And my KLING engineer is currently flying Vor'Cha as I'm still leveling him. I'll get him fleet T6 Negh'Var in the future.

Main: Fed Tactical Officer - Presidio Command Cruiser. I have other ships that can DPS a bit higher, but the Presidio is the perfect balance of power, toughness and functionality. Not to mention, I really like the kitbashing options to make it look how I like. I always go back to the Presidio.
Alt 1: Romulan Fed Engineer - Vastam Warbird. Pretty much same reasons as above since this is essentially the Romulan Presidio.
Alt 2: Romulan Tactical Officer - Scimitar Dreadnought Warbird. I like the ship, I liked it in Nemesis, I like it now. Also helps that it's a DPS monster.
Alt 3: Fed Tactical Officer - Fleet Eclipse Intel Cruiser. Ugly but potent. Very versitile and powerful fed cruiser, melts everything in seconds.
Alt 4: Fed Engineer - Fleet Guardian Cruiser. Good well rounded cruiser. Jack of all trades, master of none.
All of my Feds also sometimes fly the Icarus Pilot Escort because it's just a bad TRIBBLE fun ship to play.
Fleet Admiral Zombee: Fed Tactical: Ship is the Nandi
Because it has the best combination of weapons and consoles for tactical of what he has.

Because I'd like to show it off. Great ship and my main is a Sci. She fits perfectly right in this ship. I have tried other ships and IMO this is the best so far
On my Main, Tot I switch between JHSS, Annorax, And My Galor. why? Annorax i fly out of fun, JHSS i fly when i want DPS and Galor when i want to be a Tank. (i fly the bulwark too when i want to tank but galor is my first choice there)
On my Delta Recruit, i fly a Baltim Because it simply Removes the enemies with the DPS.
On my character "8 of 9" i fly a Tal shiar Battle Cruiser Because it is the most Borg ship i could find..
On Baroon Valm, my Sci i fly a temporal Sci ship cuz of story and it is good.
On Qwark, a ferengi.. i fly a D'kora because it is a ferengi's ship and does some real dmg
On Chut, my romie... i fly A D'deridex because i like it cuz of the hull and dmg.
On T'prus, i fly a Phantom intel, Fast little ship with a cloak
On J'pon, my Klingon.. i fly a Brel Bird of Prey, cuz it's the best Klingon ship i could fetch
On Niloo Valm, My newest sci.. i'll be flying the Intrepid pack.. the pathfinder to be specific.. with the bridge and the set.

My oldest character and main started out in the free Prometheus escort you can pick up at level 40. Used that for quite some time. I decided to try cruisers at some point and was told the excelsior was the best cruiser, which it was at the time. I never really looked back. I upgraded to the fleet excelsior and now to the fleet t6. It's no longer the top dog so to speak, but it can still hang. I just love the way that ship looks in the classic skin. Liked it ever since I saw the Enterprise-B in Star Trek Generations. The ship also handles very well which makes it a lot fun to fly.
Also have a KDF character that alternates between a t5u fleet b'rel, and t5u k'tinga. And a RR that used a t6 d'deridex.
I have to admit. I have started up an ALT Romulan. I am loving the Mogai, it is truly awesome. I have twin duel heavies to the front with a Plasma torpedo. I just destroyed a Fed CA with one pass, coming out of cloak of course.
It looks so sweet as well. I may not change up to the D'Deridex (ugly).
my sci "main" is driving a nandi because there are no science ships availabe. Sometimes she swaps to the breen carrier for variety.
my engineer is driving the baltim raider because the t6 BOP was a reskin of the mirror BOP.
my tac is driving the faeht because its a well designed ship and suits my style.
my fed is driving the phantom because its almost as good as the faeht.
my weaker alts are using the piltot raptor (sci) because I only had one baltim.
My main (level 60 Fed tac) character uses a T6 fleet Arbiter (battlecruiser). It's ugly but I still like it because it's basically a tac/eng hybrid ship; respectable firepower combined with some pretty solid survivability. None of my other ships are as effective and efficient at getting the job done (read: pumping out the DPS and killing things while still surviving), so it's pretty much all I use anymore nowadays.
As the topic says, a thread where we can say what ship are flying and basis why we choose to fly it.
Ship: Nova Class / Rhode Island (Fleet Issued) Why: Always liked the Nova class since I saw those Voyager episodes, I like the look and it has a extra Tactical console for more weapon damage. It is not the best science in the game but it is more to be to have fun then flying the best.
Hopefully there will be a T6 soon with Intel seating.
on my fed the Jupiter and vesta i have grown to like the pets.makes me feel like i am not soloing anything.on my romulan not sure yet
my main still flys the t5u fleet excelsior, im not going upto that scrapheap t6 advanced heavy cruiser that cryptic created a while back. if the excelsior went to t6 i would jump at the chance, but thats a door long closed and nailed shut, so i wont be going anywhere on that end, even if i am stuck with it for a few more years and t7 comes along.
all the others still have what they had a year ago. so basically i got no interest in the t6 stuff.
