Came to my notice that certain people are trying to fail on purposse elite STF, if you pm him, he starts spamming you with all possible
invites, private challenges, fleet map invites, invites to fleet, sending out friend inv and canceling it, channel invites to channels like: "hahaha34, noob, etc",team invtes, some of them are negatable, most annoying ones are challenge/fleet map/channel invites, because you cannot cancel them out.
To cancel out the fleet/challenge invite just drag it behind map or chat. Sadly you cannot prevent channel invites.
Im pretty sure there are a lot of people out there that are harrased like that.
To fix it, best thing woud be to add a block option for channel invites. fleet map invites, private challenge's.
If you are getting harrased, dont rage, approach the situation calmly like i have listed above what to do, and contact support, they will do everything they can to help you.
Ty for your understanding, hope this helps for people beeing harrased constantly as i am.

You're a great team player, I always liked how you took initiative on the ground.
Don't let him win by giving up.
Best is to remain silent and just ignore it, it worked for me.
For example, changing @Las_Vegas to something like @Nevada? Buying a rename token to change a character's name is probably a good idea as well.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"

Pardon me but I think you very well are able to block these things here you are wanting to block.
1. Look at your minimap. There are icons around it left side, right side, and bottom.
2. On the right side of the mini map, from the top icon, hover over it and you will see it is the button to open your Character Status. This icon looks like a head and shoulders of a person.
3. Under that icon is the icon to open your Inventory.
4. Under that icon is the icon to open your In Game Mail.
5. Under that icon--and this is the one we want--is an icon that looks like three people; three heads and shoulders.
6. Click/hover over that icon: SOCIAL.
7. On the Social window, there are a few buttons down on the lower right: Set Status, LFT Settings, and Privacy.
8. Use this Social window to control how people are able to interact with your STO characters.
9. Along the top of the Social window are six buttons: Find Team, Find Fleet, and TEAM SETTINGS. Click Team Settings button.
10. Use what's in front of you to control YOUR GAME!
That's a roger and a dodger there ACE. Keep on Truckin!

Yeah, well, that's not really surprising.
Anyway, it's a serious issue if people get spammed/harassed for days or weeks. And some of these things like bridge invites can't be turned off AFAIK.
Also, going fully anonymous means you can also no longer accept invites if you do a run with a DPS/Science/Public elite channel, fleet mates that aren't on your friend list etc. I've often met people in ground STF's that were sending personal messages with questions etc. to me after the mission had ended. And I'd have no way of answering them or pointing out that they had their /tells entirely disabled. Something they'd probably also done because of trolling, as it seems that almost everyone who's playing IGA has encountered them at least once.
Telling people to go fully anonymous just because one guy is spamming team invites, friend requests, challenges, bridge invites and other things isn't a solution. Some of these things cannot be disabled, other options would make it near impossible to conversate or play with people you do like, but who may not be on your friend list.
Besides, it shouldn't be necessary for people who have done nothing to provoke these trolls, to hide and make themselves invisible. They're not the problem, the trolls/invite spammers are.
Which is why it would make sense to add an option to just block invites etc. from one specific person, much the same like we have with ignoring one specific individual. And maybe add an option to ignore these invites from newly created accounts...
I think there's an option in the social window's privacy button about accepting or disallowing various communications from everybody or non-friends/fleetmates.
Sorry, misunderstood you there then.
It's all under the Privacy options (default key o) The things that can be turned off, that is.
@azrael605
So you know how annoying some trolls can be. I'm happy for you that your own solution worked, but that doesn't mean it's working for everyone. Some trolls can be very.. persistent. And it's not like only one person is being targeted, entire groups of players in specific missions have reported that they're being harassed or trolled in some way. Additional options therefore seem necessary.

You are incorrect. If a mod starts posting obscene language or inappropriate pictures, they will probably get fired, as they should. They are in fact bound by the same general rules we are, even if it may take a higher level of authority to enforce those rules on them. But inappropriate behavior is still inappropriate behavior, regardless of who does it.
Having said that, in regards to the 'naming and shaming' rule, it would appear that this specific rule does not apply to the mods. Even so, they do not *have* to change someone's avatar when they are banned. There is no law or rule that says they are required to do that. It would seem that they simply *want* other people to see that that person was banned, which is, IMO, the very definition of 'naming and shaming'. It also contradicts the in game policy of not *revealing* disciplinary actions if you report someone in a ticket. Changing someone's avatar is a *public* *demonstration* of what action was taken to a specific account.
