Cool!
So what is the purpose of the smaller lower nacelles?

That......actually looks better than I was expecting to be honest, but I'll wait until I see the full 3d model in the shipyard before saying if it looks really good or not,but good signs so far.

The Omega looks great - excellent work everyone. Liked hearing about your research into modern carrier vessels for insights and inspiration. Looking forward to flying this ship!
Can we assume that perhaps some or all of the other 'rejected' designs will eventually make it into the game?

I'm still trying to understand why / how the community has chosen the least-starfleet, least-beautiful design among the eight initially suggested. I honestly can't. But i do respect the work of the art team anyways.
Well done. She looks massive just like a carrier should.
And I love the details on the planet behind her as well.
Any idea what her class name will be?

Neat looking addition. I'll need some more info (like the item and boff layouts) before I can decide whether it suits my playstyle or not; but I'm looking forward to seeing it in-game.
Since we're through with our war with the Iconians and we are coming back from the brink of annihilation, I think this shippie deserves a fitting name to reflect that
I name thee... <drumbeat> U.S.S. Resurgent!
We look forward to potentially doing something like this in the future again.
So the Romulans and Klingons can look forward to a similar pipeline, eh? I may be wrong, but nonetheless, I'm still calling it! XD

That's a solid-looking design. Really like it. Wasn't sure how a re-imagination of the old Jupiter would turn out, but... I'm impressed yet again.
I assume it's eng-heavy, but those black domes towards the aft of the saucer could easily be sensor suites. So... a sci carrier? Plus that forward deflector looks fancy as all heck - could support a secondary deflector.

Her Captain is going to be a 21st century TV nostalgia nut and his favorite show is "Ugly Betty".
So he unofficially christens her the same.

Most likely, the canon explanation is to provide efficiency when creating a warp field, and with the ship being so huge, it would need it. It could also be that the nacelles would need to be alot bigger if there was just the 2. Playing on 4, for the immersion, would be correct if this vessel was going to be a long range, multi-purpose vessel. It could also be the future for colonization.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

That's impossible. I'm told by expert Scotsmen that only Cryptic creates the least-Starfleet designs in the game.
Not the one I voted for but I'll admit it looks better than I expected. Not that it matters, unless we get a huge buff to pets, some bug fixes and an AI update, carriers are still a pain in the TRIBBLE to play. I don't even bother launching my pets on my presidio half the time. I'm certainly not going to spend $30 on one without all those issues fixed.
Looks nice from the top, need to have a look at the ventral point of view before I make my mind up
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

It could more than likely replace the old Jupiter NPC ships, as this one is tellingly marked as "U.S.S. Jupiter".....
Also, as to the "least Starfleet looking ship", I can direct you to ships like.... the Oberth, the Olympic, and the Defiant for ships that break the mold when it comes to "Starfleet looking". People do like it when these things occasionally break from tradition.
People hated the Defiant at first, almost moreso than they hated the Galaxy class, for practically the same reasons. But it grew on people and now it's undeniably a Starfleet ship.
And beauty is in the eye of the beholder, bub.

Don't be sad, she's in a better place now. Away from all the hurtful comments people made about her.

Patience. They have two more posts to make about it, so they need to stretch out the hype.
