Can't Log in. Launcher wont connect to patch server.

So, I logged in. Reset my R&D Projects on one toon. Went to reset admiralty and NOTHING happened. Noticed " Server not responding" for about 30 seconds,, then it went away. Still had no response from any action. Tried to move my ship out of the badlands,, all I could do was spin around in circles. Tried to log out,, couldn't even do that. EXITED client and tried to log back in and after 5 attempts an error came up and said the launcher couldn't connect to the patch server. I restarted my computer,, tried again,, nothing. Is anyone else having issues? or am I the first/only.

    It's all of ARC. NW is also having log in issues.

    Just talked to a couple other players,,,, server went BOOOOOOOOM!!! Guess its a Netflix night for me. Ow well,, needed a break anyway.

    Yes, STO is NOT playable despite the message that is posted on the launcher claiming that only the website is affected and the game is not.

    There seems to be a lot of downtime for unknown reasons. I wish they would just get the reason straight and let everyone know and start publishing when the service will be back online. That's not to much to ask... Especially for those of us who are paying..

    have a feeling it is a DDOS, tried to log in the patcher stayed black for like 5 mins hit engage everything went slow with many disconnects ... oh well hope they can get it worked out

    No I think a lot of us are having the same problem.Very aggravating especially when you've just bought a new ship and wanted to take it for a spin.

    i wonder if the dilithium event will be extended due to this issue I am also one of many are getting problems ?

    someone pissed at nw and taking it out on pwe/cryptic if it is DDoS but if someone else was DDoS'ing the game they like the3y'd be in a rage, but they thinlk they are hurting the company but instead hurt everyone else. i was hoping to start back at the mirror event and finish some old ones and start neew ones oh well now with day 1 2 and 3 gone no point. looks like they are attacking the patch server, so why not just move it's ip?

    what if it isn't DDoS, atleast not on purpose or atleast not that purpose? what if it is the gold selling eggpal who makes 1000's of new accounts daily and then mass friend invite/remove invites to get past friend only tells. overloading the server from pidgin? i hat to say it but maybe pidgin needs to not work for chat anymore? it compromises security and has to be a way to make the registration process for new accounts fast enough for the normal actual user but slow and painful for eggpal and his team of botters who just roll new accouts to sell gold in game.

    Same here, by now they must officially have the worst servers ever, it is way beyond a joke now.

    Having issues myself at the moment. Was thinking it was my net but it seems to just be my connection attempts to start the game. Guess the servers are still having issues :(

    Hi all..Just reinstalled my game after aa loooong time..All excited :) to see my soverign class ship after ages..Clicked the icon and bam!! :| "connection error to patch serve.." Epic disappointment!! :(
    I tried to go to the cryptic site but apparently that also is not..accessible..Am from India!!

    Was trying to see if there was any way of viewing the server status..

    Un able to log into STO. Everything was going good then when I hit engage, it all disapeared. Seem like it could not bring up the Cryptic part to loading the game.

    I've had some issues with the game server recently myself, but this morning I'm getting this, now. Can't even start up the launcher o.o

    Tried using Force Verify at login. Didn't work.

    Tried even uninstalling/reinstalling game from Steam client. Still stuck in perpetual "Trying to update the launcher" mode.

    I hope this is all because Cryptic is slipping in something special for Thanksgiving (and the special content got a little buggy), because if we ever get back online and all we see is the same old/same old, I'm not going to be happy.

    Its an issue with IP address 198.49.243.253 which belongs to cryptic studios as per an IP search and another forum here..
