Nobody?? Really? Strange, very Strange indeed. (Temporal Dreadnought)

I figured the forums would have exploded with request for the Temporal Dread. Whats up with that?

I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's because it will probably be in the next Doff/R&D pack promotion, meaning most of us don't stand a snowball's chance in Gre'thor of getting one unless we're uber space rich.

It dies so fast that I doubt anyone is particularrly impressed with its performance. Besides, it gets so many special effects piled on it as soon as it appears that I have no idea what it even looks like; to me it's always just a burning orange blob.

If the playable ship looks slightly different, without those strange two sharp edges coming out the front in a way that reminds me of the Nandi, and if it is a science dread as opposed to tac or cruiser, then yeah, very much look forward to it.

Unfortunately, I can expect the cost to be even higher than the Annorax and Vonph considering the dil exchange rate, key prices, and demand for cross-faction science if that's what it will be.

It is also a mirror ship, meaning it could break from the Temporal class led by science, which would be OK as a Temp. destroyer successor long as there's also a Sci counterpart.

I fully expect it to be the next hard-to-obtain ship. I also expect that there will only be the fed variant we've seen so far, so I'm not really too interested at the moment. On the other hand, if they do faction-specific versions then that's another story. I really am very impressed by what they did with the old temporal ships (obviously) and I'd like to see more.

From what i've seen, it looks more or less like a giant temporal destroyer.

Yup with a new ability on it called "subatomic disruptor." Tho I can't say it lives long enough to see what that ability does..

The Timeship Shuttle comes with a shuttle only Deflector that has that ability. It's a disruptor damage type beam that grows in strength the longer it's active.

Ship looks awesome, and it's more awesome that they gave the NPC version all the timeship goodies, but as you said, most of us will never know the joy of owning it.

I think this one going to blow everyone's budget out at 1 bil EC considering everyone's asking for 900m for the Vonoph

How do they sell for that amount? its higher than the exchange cap.

Not only would a supposed T6 Temporal Dread be very expensive, let's consider if one wanted to enjoy the ship with "the works" in terms of consoles. Consider the costs in lobi for consoles/weapons, costs in buying the older Temporal Science Vessel, Temporal Destroyer. Here's a crazy one. Would the Krenim Science Dread count? Because it makes use of the very same set.

I started getting dizzy just thinking about it.

Anyways, the costs of premium ships has gotten out of hand. But it is nothing more than the continuation of the nasty trend that really got started with the JHAS years ago. That was the first premium ship I recall that was going for a stupid amount of EC for so long.

I really wish the premium ships were just confined to the C-Store without all the gambling involved and the circus surrounding these drops.

In the past one had a realistic shot of saving up and grinding for a few months to get a desirable and rare ship. This is simply not so anymore. Not only has Cryptic gone out of its way to nerf your EC, the prices are so high as to be impossible to reach them. Unless of course one simply buys keys to resell on the excahnge. 900 Million EC? No problem! Keys are about 4.5 million right now, so lets see.... that´s only 200 keys you have to sell. Why would anyone complain about that? Lets say you´re a smart cookie that knows to buy in bulk, that´s only 18 key packs. Or 18000 zen. Assuming there´s no current sale that´s what? $180 dollars? Pft! I can´t believe anyone would complain about that at all!

There will be some out there that are happy to sink that much cash into the game without a second thought.

But I think the majority of the space rich earn their EC with lots of alts and lots of Dil farming for Zen conversion. So for example 9 toons - which is every career for every faction - that's potentially 72k refined Dil between the lot of them everyday, which would be about 310ish Zen.

In the old days, lots and lots of doff grinding.

These days, you get lots and lots of c-store ships and their fleet versions for the admiralty system.

This got me thinking that the next Wells would be an Ultra Rare lockbox ship like the Vonph.

So anyone hoping to get a new Wells (when and if it comes out) better start saving now.
Hint: Last time they came out was during a winter event a couple years ago.
I have a feeling we will probably see one soon.

What I'm praying for is that at least the T6 Mobius would be a Lobi ship again. And people would have a reasonable chance of getting one.

But this Mobius Dread, it's going to be in a doff/r&d promo, and sell for 1 bil ec, no doubt in my mind.

Look on the bright side, they've already used the best ideas for the consoles on the two we already have. Back step + fixed Mannheim = lots of fun.

They fixed the Mannheim device? When? How? I had no idea.

And yes the Temporal Dreadnought is coming and yes it will be put either into a new doff pack or into a lockbox. And yes chances of getting one of those will be almost non existant.

Shortly before the Annorax Promo event since the ship can make use of the 2 timeships' consoles and their full set bonuses. The future and past selves now no longer bleed damage back to you. Now they behave like pets minus a UI, or separation units, and very likely benefit from/are affected by abilities/traits that boost pets though I haven't really confirmed this myself yet.

They were awhile ago when that made it on tribble. But the hype is kinda gone since they gave carrier dread status to Vonph and sci dread status to annorax so... given that... it will probably get some dread cruiser stats or something underwhelming and be putted in an ultra rare drop, be it promo pack or temporal lockbox revamp super-rare prize. My hunch is on the latter.

It was around the annorax promo. Now the past ship that spawn dont kill you too if it takes damage, ships last longer and you get +dmg resistence after using it.
