KDF T6 Dreadnaught why a non Klingon design?

ssbn655ssbn655 Member Posts: 1,894 Arc User
Seriously Cryptic foisting a Nausican design off on the Klingon Community as a Klingon Dreadnaught was not a well thought out move. I wish you had asked the Klingon Player base before you decided to do this. A Dreadnaught Bortas or Mogh would have been a far better choice. But no you assume that the Klingon players will choose non Klingon ships. I for one will NEVER buy with my hard earned cash a Nausican ship for my Klingon. I don't give a Rat's rear how great the sats are it is not a Klingon Ship PERIOD!

Because it's based on the T5 ship that already exists with an equivalent "lance" weapon.

The Matha has the lance so your point is really invalid and Bortas has the Rapid fire Disruptor Cannon module so again invalid point.

Because when the galaxy x was released the garumba ultimately became its kdf equivalent.

I may not like the ship, but I have to admit that it's a nice change.

Because people have been asking for non-Klingon T6 ships for KDF.

Well, here's your Nausicaan T6 ship. Enjoy!

Because Cryptic wanted to rererererererelease their beloved rererererererecreation of the Gal X before they release what should have been released = The T6 Flagship Set...

    Seriously?
People have been wanting an Endgame version of this ship for like forever.

Im SURE there will be a T6 Bortas when the T6 Odyssey and the T6 Scimitar (ugh) are released. There is waay too much money in their creation for them to be ignored.

(yes. it hurts my soul just THINKING about a T6 Scimitar)

My Mat'Ha has an AOE nose cannon not a lance.

The Matha nor Bortasqu' do not have Lance Weapons. Those are Disruptor Cannon type of deals. Not only that, they need to sacrifice a valuable console slot for those abilities. The Javelin is a built-in beam weapon. Think of it as a sort of freebie Beam Overload that you have to sacrifice no BOFF or Console slot for.

A better version of the T5 C-Store Guramba has been asked for for YEARS, as old as the Fleet Shipyard System has been around. Now that it's coming, I'm happy for it because it is a KDF Escort that is still very unique due to the Javelin.

That nausican design is a fan favourite and is guaranteed to bring in sales while a Bortas or Mogh may or may not.

The Guramba has the lance type weapon. And at the time was the KDF equal to the Fed Galaxy Dread. Just like the Romulan ship now. It too has a lance type weapon. The Lance weapon is the main point they was working around with.

Granted its not a Klingon ship, but it does fit the role for a Dread. Even at one time I was considering getting this ship. And many players been wanting this ship upgraded as well. Now since they reworked it, I will reconsider my thoughts on getting it.

Are you sure, because i don't think i have seen one in the queues yet. While on the subject, don't think i have seen a Mogh or Bortas other than shortly after their introductions. Do people still fly those?

The Gurumba is still spotted in sector space and queues despite being an older T5 design and that says enough about its popularity.

Uh, ssbn655.... The Bort will release with the Odd, not the Gal-X. And I'm pretty sure the T6 version of the Mat'Ha is itself. If you want it, buy it.

We finally get a non klingon T6 ship for the KDF and people actually complain about it? -.-

Honestly, there is only so much you can do with the Klingon and fed standard designs, and I'd like to see even more endgame Nausican, Orion, Gorn, Vulcan, Andorian or Caithien ships. We seriously need to see more Variety on both sides.

Also, as it has been said: The Guramba has been a long time favorite and while it might be a while until I buy a new ship I'm glad to see it (possibly, depending on stats) back in action.
Now for that T6 Kar'fi and other Fekhiri vessels...

Might as well call it the lance pack then. Cause not all dreads have a lance.

The T6 Mogh is called the Kurak. It came out in the battlecruiser bundle with the Arbiter and the Morrigu and with a very useful ship trait enhancing EPtW.

    People will complain about everything.

To me I'm glad they are looking at the much older ships. Bringing them current on graphics, improving on their stats to make them better, and making them more fun to play.

How many years has it been since they released a non-klingon ship design for the c-store?

Glad to see they did! I have hopes for more kdf non-klingon ships!

Many have been anticipating a T6 Garumba Siege Destroyer, and as I recall the Garumba was quite popular in its day.

I'm considering getting it myself if the Boff layout is decent. Though, what I really want is a T6 BoP.

Very. Back when there was a lot of PVP going on, it was amusing to see several Guramba players all Javelin some hapless Fed ship B)

yes and we'll have to see the stats on the new nausicaan fighters, but I can tell you I'm going to love being able to use elite interceptors with the T6 Guramba :)

This is a welcome trio in my book, including the Nausicaan ship. That is assuming they do better with the stats. I would hate to think that my Nausicaan won't get a proper home because they ruined the boff/console/etc layouts.

Looking forward to the nausicaan fighters as well. Money's tight, but unless they really mucked up with the stats the T6 Gurumba is eventually going for a spot in my inventory.

nice to see some people are being the cloud to the silver lining.

does this mean cryptic may actaully get over their issues and give us a new gorn science ship? probably not, but it's nice to dream.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

They released it because it will sell... in fact, unless it's royally screwed up somehow I'll pick it up. I haven't decided whether I also want the other two ship or if I'll just put the other chunk of Zen towards the Pilot Ships, which come Fleet-equivalent both in-game and in the upcoming Admiralty System, while these will likely need an additional Fleet purchase. In a strange coincidence, I have 4 Fleet Ship Modules and four KDF characters... and I also have none of the Fed/Rom ships that are related to thier offerings. It's kind of funny that the Admiralty System might be convincing me to hold off on buying something...
