I like epsilon because it reminds me of a ship in my abhorrent, atrocious, insidious, monstrous, appalling, and nauseating fanfiction that I never published...
I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.
#TeamTheta Not a true fan of either one really,, but Theta has a more classic Trek Look ( albeit little too command cruiserish) Epsilon is to squashed in my opinion.

I chose Epsilon because I personally think that Theta looks too much like the Guardian Cruiser and I want something that looks better. I think the Epsilon looks awesome, and a little bit similar to the Jupiter Dreadnought, but I just want a ship that includes Epsilon's Nacelles on Design Omega. Epsilon is decent on its own, though. But Theta is pretty great, too. Afterall, maybe they could use Theta as an updated version of the Guardian Class. But I'm still going Epsilon on Round 3.
I've gone for Epsilon because, in my eyes, Theta has too much of a command cruiser vibe going on (although when it gets to Sigma versus Omega, I'll go for the latter considering how visually similar Sigma and Epsilon are).
Also, to those who say "round saucers are classic Trek, stick with them [insert obligatory design-based insult here]", have you heard of the Defiant?
Anyway, Theta is the last hope for a dual nacelle. But it appears I'll be 0-3. I can't wait to reach 0-4.
Right there with you man.
As am I, sadly. I wonder how the voting results might have looked if it had been set up as Ranked Choice voting rather than this single-elimination tournament approach. I suspect Omega would be the winner regardless, based on the number of vocal supporters already, but I'll bet Beta and Theta would have ranked higher than this.
I vote Theta. I understand some people might want escorts but I just do not like that design for Epsilon plus it reminds of the squished Defiant called the Phantom and the nacelles on the top make it look weird. Now if they placed them somewhere else it would look better in my opinion plus I did not like the side view either it looked too crunched together. As for Theta, I can deal with that. #TeamTheta hooray! In these polls my choice won only one time. So I am 1-2.
I still think that this is a crazy way to design a ship. Why not have everyone make their own ship using design from the eight different styles that you have up there now. You then can mix and match like we can do with the command cruiser. Then you would have a lot more people happier that being stuck with just one design. Just a through....

While I voted Theta, I agree with how unnecessary the insulting language is that some people are using to "justify" their votes. About the only thing that accomplished is pissing people off and making them want to vote the other way just to keep bratty behavior from winning.

This was a tough call - Theta's very classic looking, and I like the saucer - but Epsilon handles its bulky-carrierness with more grace than some of the other entries. It looks like it could spit out a lot of shuttles.
None of these, except Theta, look as though they'd be anything more than the same ole same heavy escort. Heck even our Akira Class was given a hangar slot but no docking bay looking piece.
Of course, we don't know if these will be stretched to the size of an Obelisk or Jem Dread, etc... we just don't know.
I still think Theta's hull has the better capacity.....so, #TeamTheta

Yeah, that's something I'd love to hear from the Devs about. There are many people in these threads speculating that this is going to be a "BIG" ship and that it's the "Fed's first true carrier", but I'm not sure where any of that information has come from. For all we know, it's just going to be another shuttle launcher so size could merely be relevant to about a Galaxy Class or Vesta.
Edit: Not to mention that the Breen carrier is actually relatively small and it can launch frigates.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

If this contest has taught me anything it's that the most vocal people aren't the most numerous. Two nice designs were already struck down despite what appeared to be popular opinion. It wouldn't shock me if the Sigma wins, Jupiter homage aside the Omega is damned ugly and most people will only care about that. Sigma is beautiful I can totally live with it.
#teamtheta I can appreciate the aesthetics of the other, but it looks like an escort to me. I like the spread out design of the theta much better for a carrier.
Not only does it kind of evoke the Typhon, it does NOT look like yet another Fed Command ship variant, unlike the Theta. Hated the nacelles attached to the saucer on the Oberth and Fuzzyprise, and hate it yet still on the Fed Command ships. And will hate it here. Also, Theta looks like the lovechild of a Fed Presidio and a Fed Galaxy-class.
Also, Epsilon has the blended body plan of the Voyager and the nacelles practically flush against the hull like the Defiant, so it's something different yet familiar at the same time, only having a more aggressive front-end.
Off the bat, this is unbelievably closer than most others... interesting.. yesssss..

I'll likely be joining many of the others in the 0 for 4 club as I've noticed more than a few that have consistently voted for the carrier choice that ends up loosing.
