I voted for Theta myself, I loved the side view of it, the secondary hull screams carrier at me, and unless I am seeing it wrong, the saucer seems to be actually two saucers with a separation between them.
Theta looks more traditional, especially from the top, but the primary and secondary hulls look a little too... 'dis-conected'...
Epsilon looks more tactical across the board, and has the better side-view, but the top-view looks a little... Cluttered? Claustrophobic? ...Not smooth enough, and the nacelles are too close to the hull...
Overall though... close as it is... I'm gonna have to go with #TeamEpsilon
Everyone does know this is for a carrier, right? Need a large interior volume. epsilon
Once again, the design with the most and most sensible use of interor volume lost in a landslide vote. You people have no idea what you want, aside from "it has to look like a race car"

Epsilon looks like this:
which coincidentally, happens to be a carrier from a previous Star Trek game. So theres that...
Also... Epsilon looks cooler so theres that as well.

That's your opinion, and nothing more.
Really. You're coming across as an elitist TRIBBLE with comments like this. All because the designs you THINK are "more Trek" are losing.
Remember that people have different tastes and opinions. In mass market, beer and pretzels science fiction, those tastes don't necessarily have to be logical.

If arguing logically (efficient use of space) and then making a vote that goes against that I feel there is reason to point that out. And if anyone takes arguing about video game space ships more serious than they should it's not my problem
I'll never argue against anyone's taste (how terrible it might be ) as that's subjective and totally fine.

For once he and I are voting on the same side, but that won't blind me to your legitimate point, which I've made repeatedly now: the sort of behavior you've highlighted is NOT the way to endear anyone else to one's position. If anything, it's a way to make people want to vote the opposite just to ensure that such behavior is not rewarded.
I am sorry that Theta is losing, as I thought it was the better of this particular pairing--but I respect that my aesthetic values and opinions aren't law. And ultimately since we do not work for SpaceX or Richard Branson, designing real spacecraft, we also cannot point to anything with the force of IRL design principles to push our preferences on others.

Hopefully they don't completely scrap the other designs. I would like some of these ships as hull options or as new ships. Beta and Gamma specifically.
I like the Epsilon design because the saucer section looks like it has fighter launch bays on along its sides. The warp nacelles being closely mounted to the hull reduces its profile, which would hopefully make them harder to single out and target, and to stay out of the way of the fighters. Maybe the fighters are launched either forward or out to the side of the saucer. Fighter recovery from the aft looks challenging as it looks like a tight squeeze between the nacelles to get to the aft-facing parts of the saucer. Maybe forward recovery? Beam arrays mounted along the sides would provide cover as the fighters launched from the sides.
I'm rather surprised at how close this one is. Honestly, neither of these designs are that good, I voted Epsilon because it's the least ugly. I take comfort in the fact that neither of these will be the end winner.

Theta looks too generic model. I'm so tire of seeing that same layout .

But that could just be me too.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
Except the ship they make will not be an escort but a carrier.

You know this is for a FEDERATION carrier right? Need two nacelles, a saucer, and a drive section.
Has the large flight deck. Also Epsilon looks like an escort.
Oh yea, can we get a new torpedo with the Arc modifier?
Epsilon looks very intriguing, but then again, my tastes are not in sync with pink-skin star ship design philpsophy anyway.

You didn't vote. Theta has no chance at winning if you don't vote in the very first post of this thread.
But it looks like it isn't going to win anyway, since these nOObs think 4 nacelles are better than 2.
