If we're getting a T6 Prommie, can we please also get two things along with it?
1) Please fix the split animation on the MVAM ability so that we can do it while moving, the way the other ships saucer seps got fixed.
2) Please fix the rejoin animation so that it uses the ship costume we're actually using. I get so tired of watching the default parts fly up and merge with my ship then magically blip into my normal ship skin after the combination animation.

I thought they'd gotten this in at least to Tribble, hadn't they?

If I was flying escorts on my 2 Feds I would be all over this, but currently using a Nebula and Manticore. MVAE is still my favorite fed escort in the game, so if one of them switches things up I'll get it.
Just not a day 1 purchase for me. Incidentally my 2nd fav fed escort would be the Ajax.
Too bad Valve & PWE are less friendly these days, T6 Steamrunner would be nice.
At any rate saving my Zen for a Romulan & KDF vessel.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

T6 updates for the Kamarag & Vor'Cha
Heavy Cruiser & a Movie Era Style AoY Utility Cruiser
I have to be honest. I'm not at all surprised to see yet another FED ship. What happened to the KDF and Romulan ships. The Hestia ship is just another pass for me. What a waste creating yet one ship for one faction, but not one for the other two as well.
Yet another FED T6 Escort and still NO KDF Bird of Prey. Seriously I am so tired of cruisers it's not even funny. The lack of KDF ships and clothing is just ridiculousthis far into the game. Seriously guys, it is almost season 11 and Rom and KDF players have such a tiny amount of uniform and ship choices it is sad.
They really need to get a lot of T6 bops in the game and change the specialization and ship mastery to account wide(if character has the ship i.e. not having a lockbox ship you wouldn't get the trait just something that can be stomached by veteran players who have large amounts of characters). The grind is just way out of control and overwhelming and on top of that us KDF players and even romulan ones are not even getting the real stuff we want but yet expected to grind this game smh.
I too would like birds of prey but how many do you really need? I know of two feasably distinct sizes. B'rel and Heght'ta, both of which, would be on my list if and when they happen. I can imagine giving the B'rel all the previous costume options that you'd get from Lt. Com. to Captain which would be nice indeed. As for the Hegh'ta, maybe a K'vort skin option to go along with that. For now at least, there's been no word on the Hegh'ta on even if it's in the cards. The rumor is still spoken about the Defiant/B'rel/T'varo pack but as far as I know, it's just that: rumor.
Soooo, besides looking very nice what's the draw here? Does it have a 5/2 weapons setup? Does it get the maneuvers that pilot ships have? Is its only draw MVAM? Sure hope not, as that would make it a near useless boring escort compared to the pilot ships. I hope Cryptic tells us what goodies this ship gets and why we should consider getting it beyond it just looking good.
It looks damn sexy but how does it measure up to the pilot escorts? Those set the bar pretty dang high and I wonder if it will land in the same spot like all the cruisers that came after the command bunch. Not really bad but already outclassed in what they can do.
Also, expecting to see a USS Danmachi on day 1....
I just hope the weapon hardpoints on the previous models are fixed as well. No such ugly thing like dual beam banks firing from tips of upper nacelles, or dual cannons firing from maneuvering trusters (the small red stuff on saucer).
I personally expect something like boff layout and stats similar to Morrigu Heavy Warbird. Except for the swap from eng consoles to sci.
Also the special console effect seems like just a copy of plasma shockwave from romulan warbirds...
"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
Also the special console effect seems like just a copy of plasma shockwave from romulan warbirds...
I'm curious how it compares to that one since it does have somewhat different properties. No sing-charge needed, regular cooldown and it gets done by all 3 parts when separated. So basically get close, separate and bam, 3 shockwaves in their face. Most likely also boosted by embassy consoles since it's plasma based.
why the F*CK do you guys keep on about the t'varo when that design was seen in enterprise thereby making it OLDER than the t'liss ( which i like b/c of the rounded nacells ) t6 t'liss or make the costume avail. at t6 ffs......
Soooo, ummm, when are you going to show off Hestia's parts?
I mean the subsections in multi-vector assault mode, that is?
Would like to see the Romulan multi-vector (knock-off) T6 updated.
Also, I was thinking of different ways of doing something similar with a Klingon equiv, with three light (with speed and agility in mind) Raptors that connect to form a heavier (slower but packs a wallop) one. The wing/nacelle struts and hulls attach to for a triple array of nacelles, there'd be a triple torpedo launcher where the 'saucer' sections meet from the neck of the Raptor(s) in the front. Possibly cannons mounted on each of the smaller raptor's wins that would form double cannons on each wing strut when combined.
Wow.. that ship actually looks like a sexy, natural evolution and the 'descriptions' of its new abilities fit very nicely with the general vibe of the ship's legacy.
Here's hoping the Hestia's stats are equally appealing..

For the record, higher-tier ships (the level-up freebies notwithstanding) have never had more weapon slots than their counterparts of the previous tiers i.e. you won't see the Hestia with more weapons slots than the Prometheus.
Also, its highly unlikely that the ship will have pilot manoeuvres. Just take a look at how many Intel-themed or Command-themed ships there are - only the initial releases (the Command FDCs and Intel ships) have those unique mechanics.
commander tac
lt commander sci/command (on account of the "boys" you know who that mine code already said she was getting command hybrid seating so many months back)
lt tac
lt eng
lt universal
devices 2
5 tac consoles
3 eng
3 sci (but man I hope she gets the 4 sci and 2 eng LOL)
turn 16 (changes if mvam'in)
+15 weapon power
+5 aux
over all fair ship if the set bonus for the new console and mvam console adds either a reduction on cooldown for swaping, the plasma area effect "damage aura" I don't expect to be huge or last that long, 2 min cooldown, probably effected by particle consoles (good rule of thumb with particle consoles, if its a "damage" that comes off one of your weapons... chances are particle consoles do not effect it, if its an ability that you "click" of is a boff power with an exotic flavor.. chances are particle consoles effect it)
there a couple weapons that you "fire" that are effected by particles, crafted plasma TRIBBLE cloud torp, lobi plasma torp, etc but the particle consoles are effecting the "cloud" or the "exotic effect" not the torps burn, at least that's how I understand it
but ya, command hybrids not a bad gig to have with the ship, a boon for those torp captains out there already tired of the life time sub chimara, and if she gets (I doubt it) a FOUR that's.. 4th sci console slot..
well..
haha,
now we are cooking:)
I think that you may be missing that most of the T6 upgrades have 2 LtC slots. More than likely, the Lt Tac will become a LtC Tac.

But I have already a Prometheus. I'm still disappointed by this marketing strategy of selling the same ship with way better stats over and over on top of the existing one(s), and I'm not going to fall for the trick they've been doing since DR.

Finally a ship where the pointy saucer looks good! Personally I'm waiting on the T6 Patrol Escort so this won't be drawing my interest but it looks promising.
As for the Klingon/Romulan "where's our stuff" calls. Sorry, you're going to have to accept you're in a minority even if we include all the alts. The demand for Fed related material is inevitably going to be treated as more of a priority because that's where the bigger market is. Crying foul every time a Fed only ship is updated isn't going to change things, you're outgunned by simple numbers and that's where it ends.

It's not just the costume. Basically they took the old ship and instead of directly offering an upgrade for those who bought it, they made a new one, added a costume and sold it as if it was a totally new ship. That's 30 bucks-equivalent dilithium I'd spend somewhere else.
That's what I don't like.

T6 doesn't have "way better stats" over the T5-U it's based upon. Actually it has the very same stats with a couple exceptions: 1) One more Boff ability (13th for most ships); 2) Some specialization seat among Boff slots; 3) Fifth mastery Tier unlocking a ship trait.

They combined a costume with improved stats and sell this for 30 $, right.
But would you really rather have a completely different ship for 30 $ with stats slightly better than the Advanced Escort, its own costume, but no ability to mix and match costume parts? (Or a ship with the same stats but no ability to mix and match costume parts?)
The Tier 6 Retrofit ships are sometimes seen as a bad deal because "it's the same ship, but just better", but it completely ignores that this means you can still use all the old costume parts with the new costume parts and have a lot more variety then if you were stuck with the old or got a stand-alone ship.
You could say that ship costumes used to be cheaper before F2P times, but you also used to spend 10-15 $ each month to play the game and if you didn't, you lost access to everything. There is no guarantee that the 5 $ or whatever it used to be the original C-Store costumes cost actually was able to cover the full cost of making the ship costumes (and add a nice profit on top.).
And the original Tier 5 Retrofits (Galaxy, Defiant, Intrepid) did have no new alternate skins at all, and still costs the same as today's Tier 5 ships.
