Here we go again DDOS attack again

Again the same garbage, another attack and players cannot do a thing about it.

    Same here. I haven't been on all day and as soon I decide to log in, I can't.

    Yes... and of course, this happens to occur during one of the few times I would have been able to play this weekend.

    I got "Account server connection could not be started." on login and "Ping request could not find host patchserver.crypticstudios.com." on ping. I was just on, logged off and back on moments later, and this.

    Will some catch that little prick already?

    Yep launcher failing to connect/update here, as well...about 9:25pm, US Eastern time.... :\

    Ditto me. I haven't played since mid-day yesterday, go to log in, and my Cryptic Launcher Autoupdater can't even connect to bring up the game.

    Here is the same error too.

    "Trying to update the launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting 23 times."

    "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection. If problem persist, please contact Technical Support."

    I don't think this is the same guy, since his twitter doesn't mention anything about it. I can't be certain whether or not it's a DDoS attack but I don't think we should assume that's what it is either. Could just be the Server is acting up.

    Tried to bypass and launch the gameclient.exe as that has worked in the past. No go either. Sigh.....

    I also suspect that it isn't what's been happening the last few days...it's a heck of a coincidence, though.... *ponders*

    I also doubt it is the same guy. When he was doing his attacks my launcher opened but logins failed.

    This appears to be a different problem.

    at 930 pm eastern i got booted and can't get back in (can't connect to patch server).

    well i should probably put the game down anyway.

    I was too until I started a mission and the server stop responding, since then I have been unable to reconnect.

    The same happened to me. Maybe the server wanted the rest of the weekend off, maybe Criptic needs to start giving us some Zen as compensation.

    Was on a romulan alt in drozana station, clicked to go to lower sections and the game crashed. Time to find something else I think.

    It's been really frustrating because this is basically the only game I play these days. Which means I'm starting to look for a new game because with so many DDOS attacks, I'm probably better off finding something new. I just hate not having my Star Trek fix; guess I'll have to learn to live without it.

    First I was given an AFK penalty for no reason then I reported that, logged off, tried to log back in but the launcher wont even "udpate"

    Same here. Was just wrapping up my weekly playthrough of "Midnight" for the spec point.

    This is not a DDoS attack. Something has gone sideways with the crypticstudios.com domain.
    Right now, there are no reported DNS servers for "patchserver.crypticstudios.com"

    I'm very sure that everyone is quite aware of what is actually going on right now and the proverbial TRIBBLE has hit the ventilation system.
