Help, Cannot get into game past Launcher. Unable to start game client: The operation completed succe

Everything in the launcher patches just fine, I moved and haven't been able to play STO for over a week now.
I get the following message, no matter what mode: Unable to start game client: The operation completed successfully.

I've tried all the options I can think of, including launching the game from Steam, ARC and just the STO.exe nothing fixes this. Help please.

    did you changed someting in your game settings?
    any pc problems with memory..etc?
    any viruses or system instability lately?

    I have this issue since latest patch (minus the error message it just stalls on the loading screen), i do get a pop up about my graphics driver stopping and restarting however. last time this happened i had to update java (which i have done) but that disn't help this time. champions online appears to be working and as it uses the sme launcher i cant work out why sto wont launch
