Laucher downloading but not patching

Ok,

So I can't download the latest patch for STO it keeps grinding to a halt on patching but continues to recieve data. So I decided to uninstall the game and reinstall it hoping that would fix the problem.... it didn't. Can anyone tell me how to work around it or fix it?

Running Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit)
i5 3.2ghz processor
12 gig memory
nVidia GTX 450 series card.

    I've got the same issue. I've tried cancelling and restarting the launcher a few times, but to no avail. Any help is much appreciated.

    same here. says its patching but nothing happens. i left it for hours

    I had this problem, but was able to fix it by opening the launcher, going to options and changing my patch proxy to US, from none.
