Update/Patch error 36

I'm getting an error 36 when patching, something I have never received before today. It cannot read/write a file and keeps restarting the patch process.
I just played the game last night and for months there hasn't been any issue at all. I've been using the same antivirus, firewall and other programs for years and none of them have caused any issues with the game or patching process. My pc is fine..fully cleaned and running smoothly, so it's not the system.
Anyone have any ideas on what to do or how to potentially fix this? I've already tried verifying the integrity of the game files, nothing.
