Should Laughing Trendy or Holly Amos lead the Dev Panel at STLV?

Today it was announced that STO are having a Dev Panel at STLV with Holly Amos, Product Development Coordinator for CBS Consumer Products leading the panel (See STO Blog: http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9469033).

My reaction was (posted in forum post: http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums#/discussion/1196573/see-you-at-star-trek-las-vegas):
What! Why? Shouldn't we have Laughing Trendy our STO Community Manager doing this?
Especially as the livestream with Aron Eisenberg was handled so well too - why give us someone we've never heard of?

I also think that people will see and hear CBS and try asking about licensing, future TV series etc that Holly will not and cannot answer!

I vote for Trendy to do this!!

    imo you're missing the real critical piece of news here...
    implementation of the Star Trek universe from a classic series to a masterful, digital experience.
    so when is this "masterful, digital experience" coming out?! What will it be named? How much will it cost at release?

    Okay Holly working for CBS does not in any way make her a dev. I don't know Holly, and its always nice to meet a new face, but midnite is Right. Lets keep her on the Panel, but give the Dinosaur the Reins!

    seriously ..............there should be a 3rd option...that no one cares who does it and this is a stupid poll ...I thought people were not being serious when they were saying the "polls" were getting out of hand

    Doesn't the panel "lead" do not much of anything besides introductions and acknowledge who's going to ask the next question?

    And the panelists (to include Trendy) are the ones who actually answer them?

    If so, leave Holly in the "lead" slot, and let the devs do their answering - maybe through Trendy to prevent "foot in mouth" syndrome...​​

    I think whoever has been picked for the job has probably been picked for a reason. Holly Amos being from CBS - the company that holds the actual Star Trek rights, at least most of them - seems to make sense to me.

    Most of us won't be there anyway, so it will not really affect us. Heck, it might be better if Trendy is not even there, so she can take care of blog posts and updates on the website.​​

    I have no doubt Trendy is a very nice, hard working person. But judging by Smirks livestreams she isn't very outgoing. By making her leading a panel you probably wouldn't do her a big favor.

    Trendy will get more votes just because of popularity reasons, but Holly Amos is more fit for this role for obvious reasons.

    I'm honestly quite please Holly will be running our panel. She's pretty swell, give her a chance.

    It seems to me that a third party not affiliated with STO is a good choice for the panel lead. They can be impartial and keep things on track. Anyway CBS owns the property and have the major say in any discussions. ( I love Trendy too but I think CBS should probably moderate.)
